Our labrador retriever has chewed up five remotes and six months. I switched to IR remotes, and bought them by the two pack. Has anyone found a solution for this?

A cage for the remote maybe? Some kind of taste they don’t like? Spring loaded bolts that Pierce their cheeks? It’s like when you leave the room for 30 seconds he goes right to it. He won’t touch it if you have it with you. You have to put it up high - higher and higher as he grows – if you even leave the room for a minute. Check that 15 seconds? It’s almost like he knows where it is. I’m stumped.

are they attracted to it? Some audio signal? My last dog, same breed,  didn’t care at all about it.

Keep a muzzle on him?   Knock out his teeth and feed him nothing but oatmeal?

There are "dog chewing spray" repellent products, but I don't know how well they work, what effect they'd have on you and your kids when handling the remotes, or what effect they may have on the remote itself.

Or maybe get a fake remote and put hot pepper or something like that on it to see if you can teach him not to chew on something similar?

I attached mine to retractable dog leash. When it is released , it retracts into a pocket on the side of my chair. Out of sight.
