Are most of you with the problem using the tv’s USB to power your Roku?

Nope, using a standalone USB charger connected to a surge protector as suggested by the manufacturer

I appreciate the investigation but in the meantime I still need to replace batteries once every 4 / 5 days. A touch excessive wouldn't you say ??  I recommend a replacement unit.

 Model # RC-AL8

 thank you Dave

Replaced batteries two weeks ago and they're dead already. Roku stick (#3800X) is updated to latest software, 10.0.0 build 4209-55 and plugged directly into the wall
