Hmm, just seems to have started for me. Found it dead one day, added batteries, the next morning it dropped to 72%.

I tried the system restart solution presented here, but the problem persists. Roku remote batteries are being drained within a few days after only being used for a few hours.

Are most of you with the problem using the tv’s USB to power your Roku?
I power it from a USB port on a 2012 Vizio TV without issue.
But I only power the Roku stick via that USB when actually streaming a show.
I unplug it at all other times. 99% of the week.
The firmware in the new remote they sent may have stopped searching 24x7x265 for the Roku stick it was previously mated to. That's my theory. There's a secret menu that you can tweak some of the stick and remote firmware values, one of them had to do with remote to stick communications. Thinking they may have tweaked that. But just a guess......
I don't see the problem any longer.....
I have the same issue with 4 Roku remotes. All four sticks are brand new and plugged into the power outlet. Remotes, regardless of use, run out of battery after about three days. One is at a second home and goes weeks without use. When we go there, batteries are dead. Is there a viable solution besides removing the batteries after use? I’m not able to find the fix in the posts. The fix about resetting doesn’t seem to apply to sticks just set up which all uploaded new software on install. Please attach a link to the solution. Thank you
MY REMOTE IS BURNING UP BATTERIES IN ONE WEEK.
I really hope this works. There were no updates and I go through batteries every Tuesday and it's getting real old
