How do I speak to support?

Jump to solution

I am having issues where my remote will not connect. I cannot contact anybody for help. When I go to support on the website I am put in an endless cycle of it sending me to support, then choose my issue, then gives advice, then says to click support...and so on. Can somebody please help me and give me an email to contact or a phone number I can call?

Hi, @Emily36 Welcome to the Roku Community!

We appreciate you reaching out about the issue you're having with your Roku remote. We are here to assist you and are eager to help.

To get started, could you please specify which type of Roku remote you have? Is it the Roku simple remote, the Roku mobile app remote, or the Roku voice remote?

We also recommend visiting our support page for instructions on:

We would recommend trying to see if that resolves your issue. Please keep us posted.

I have a simple remote with batteries and one with a HDMI cord.  I tried to connect it just does not work.  I need a live person that can help me step by step.   I don’t even know why it stop working. I went out of town for 2 days and came back and they weren’t working.  I normally use the simple one when the other one is charging. Anyway I’m currently using my iPhone as a remote.  So is there anyway I can speak to a live agent to walk me through since I got 2 different remotes

Thank you for posting in the Roku Community, @Chloe3!

We appreciate the detailed description of the issue you're experiencing with your Roku remote. We would like to help you resolve this matter. Could you please try the following steps?

Restart your streaming device:

  1. Remove the power cable from your streaming device
  2. Wait at least 5 seconds
  3. Re-connect the power cable
  4. Wait for your streaming device to power on, and the Home screen to appear on your TV
  5. Once you see the Home screen, try to use your remote to control your device

With the Roku mobile app installed or another Roku remote that works with your streaming device, use the following steps to put your device into pairing mode from the Settings menu.

  1. Press Home on your working remote or from the Roku mobile app
  2. Scroll and select Settings
  3. Select Remotes & devices
  4. Select Add devices
  5. Select Remote
  6. Select Continue
  7. Follow the on-screen instructions to pair your voice remote

Please try doing this and see if it helps with what you're experiencing.

Thanks,
Jharra
