Hi, I recently purchased the roku stream bar (smallest one, $99). I connect to my roku smart tv 4k. Can I use JUST an hdmi (which would deliver power) or must I also use power adapter. Advertisement says "single cord" set up. Looking forward to your reply.

HDMI does not supply power.  There was a similar connector called MHL which did supply power (not sure if it was spec'd to supply enough power for sound though!), but that seems to have fallen out of favor.

You have to have both HDMI cable and the supplied power cable to use the Streambar.
