One Roku had updated to 11 and since then I have a daily HDCP Error.
The other Roku in the home had been on 10 for 2 weeks longer. It just updated to 11 and now the same issue.
This is happening on both TV sets now.
Different TV manufacturers and cables.
Hi @miadlor,
Thanks for reaching out to the Roku community!
I understand that you are experiencing HDCP errors after an OS update, please provide us with the following information:
-Roku device model, device ID, and software OS/version (these can all be found in Settings > System > About)
-steps to reproduce the issue you are seeing
-when did you start seeing this issue occur
-tracker ID when this issue occurs (when you see this issue occur, press the Home button 5 times, followed by the Back button 5 times)
Once we have this information, we will be able to pass it along to the appropriate team for further investigation.
Best regards,
Mary
Where can I send this info privately?
Found it.... Sent private message.
When do you get this error? When first turning on the tv? If you restart the Roku (pull power plug for a few seconds or give the reset button a short push and let it reboot) does it then remove the error?
If you have a Settings > System > Power item on your Rokus, see if disabling any Auto power savings option eliminates the problem.
Error seems to come up randomly. I am unable to recreate at will. I can say that when the message comes up, I'm selecting a show to watch on Philo TV. I am able to get out to Home. At this point, I just do a restart and I'm good for the moment.
At times when I open TabloTV and watch a SD channel, I see a thin purple line at the top and bottom of the screen but have no message and can view the show. I know if I then open Philo TV, the message will be there.
Thanks for the posts and providing us with your information.
I have passed along your concerns and information to the appropriate Roku team to investigate further. Once more information is available, I'll be sure to update this thread.
In the meantime, we would recommend taking a look at the information provided by our Support page here: Fix an HDCP error
Thanks,

I have been getting HDCP errors every time I switch from the Roku Ultra 4800x input to another input on the TV and back again. For example, watching programming on any app, switching inputs to the antenna input and upon switching back I am greeted with the 020 HDCP error and kicked off the app.
