Screen saver issues please help me

Anyone who is having this problem I believe I found the fix. It only works if you have the roku remote that has a mic. Go to the streaming store and hold the mic and say screensavers. It should just take you immediately to your settings and screensavers and everything appeared. I used to have all the screensavers then they disappeared once day when I wanted to change it. I know the only reply anyone has gotten is well some themes are out of season. Yea there’s no way 600+ screensavers just went out of “season” per se. So hopefully this works for ya’ll too.

i'm sick and tired of you f****** with my home screen. and **** your b******* troubleshooting garbage ai responses. it's a temporary fix that you constantly change - forcing me to constantly have to change it back manually every single time.

 

where the **bleep** do you get off messing with my personal settings? are y'all so bored with your lives that you have nothing better to do than to constantly screw up my home page?

 

i don't know how much clearer i can make myself.

  • Roku device model, serial number, device ID, and software OS/version (these can all be found in Settings > System > About)
  • Tracker ID when this issue occurs (when you see this issue arise, press the Home button 5 times, followed by the Back button 5 times, and provide us with this ID)
  • What troubleshooting steps have you taken so far?

Once we have this information, we can pass it along to the appropriate Roku team for further investigation.

My screen savers are not working either, roku hicense TV and roku box on other TV, the screen savers revert back to home screen after a few seconds,  never rolling the pictures which they both did do prior to the last update. Also you tube videos can only pause for a few seconds and do not stay paused, ridiculous that all this is not good tv viewing. Also to the person very angry and I get it. Go to settings,  theme, scroll down and turn off seasonal wallpapers and sponsored wallpapers which will stop some of the changes to your home screen.

Also this seems like identifying information you are asking for and this is a public forum. I'm not giving you that. Just tell them to fix the last update when they installed the ridiculous back drops app. Thanks.

Can you report exactly which screensavers are having a problem?  The best way to identify the channel for us to to post a link to the page on https://channelstore.roku.com/ for the screensaver.

Well I don't know if 3rd time is a charm here (as far as setup from scratch is concerned), but I set it all back up to gather the requested data and it's now working just fine.  I really can't explain it... nothing has changed except a factory reset and going through the full setup yet again.  All of the settings are again set identical and everything else, but now it's working fine.

 

I'll monitor the situation and report back with anything that I find, but I've put it through the paces as of this morning doing the exact same things I did before that caused it to crash (normal usage type of things, screen saver turning on, etc.), but it's working fine now.

 

I realize that's not helpful to those in this thread that are experiencing the same issues, but I don't know if it is just a matter of a factory reset after firmware update or what... but this is the 2nd factory reset I've done on the device (3rd overall setup from scratch), and now it seems to work fine.

I bought a screen saver for 2.99 and it is awesome.  It works on both TVs and I like it so much better than the roku screen savers.  Maybe this is an issue with the free roku screen savers which I did use. Now I wake up to positive verses and nature pictures. Hopefully they will continue to work.  Peace to all.
