For a few years, we've been using the PhotoViewer app to show static images on a device that we use as a digital signage display in our office lobby.

That stopped working around 6 months ago, so we shifted to the official Roku Photo Streams app & linked to our Google Photos account to it. The problem is that now the Roku account "unlinks" from our Google Photos account almost every week, which means we need to reconnect to get the display to work again.

I guess my question is – am I the only person that is experiencing this issue with the Photo Streams app, and if so, is anyone using a different solution for digital signage via Roku?

This is still a problem for me as well.  Almost daily having to reconnect the service.

My google photos album unlinks after a short time. Probably less than an hour. I go back to photostreams.roku.com and have to press a "Re-link to Google" button and then it works again for a short while. The same setup on my mothers rokuTV on a seperate account sharing the same photo album seems to work fine. Is anyone else experiencing this? or know a fix?

Thanks for flagging this issue. We understand that you're experiencing an issue with your Photo Streams, and we'd like to take a closer look at it. 

To help us in the investigation, could you please provide the following details below?

• Roku device model, serial number, device ID, and Software Version. (these can all be found in Settings > System > About)
• Tracker ID (when you see this issue occur, press the Home button five times, followed by the Back button five times, and provide us with this ID)
• Photo Stream version (Highlight the app from the Home Screen and press the Star * Button)

This happens on all of my devices on this one account. Would you like information for all devices or can we safely conclude that it has nothing to do with the hardware but something with the roku-google backend.
