I recently purchased model 3820r2. Specifically to screen mirror. I'm seeing neighbors devices but not mine. Sometimes, after restarting the roku device, I will see a new device that I assume is mine, but when I try to connect it does not and the device disappears from the list until restarted again. Sometimes it takes several restarts for the device to appear. After failing to connect, the phone then tells me to hold the power button on the remote down until the device restarts, which does not happen (the tv just shuts off and stays off).
I'm super confused and very frustrated. I've tried going thru all my settings and making sure every connection is open, I tried SmartThings, I tried restarting the tv, my phone, the roku, and unplugging the whole tv.
I'm thinking of returning this product if I can't find a fix.
Greetings, @noperatu!

Could you please try to update your device?

I did this. Despite the product being purchased and set up literally two days ago, I did this. The problem persists.
Again, the product is not showing up as an option to mirror to on my phone. When something does show up that I think might be mine, it attempts to connect, fails, and disappears from the list. Nothing I have done has made a difference. I have used this phone with similar devices to mirror in the past, so I don't believe it's a phone issue.
Is there any other alternative to fix this issue?
There have been both Samsung phone firmware and app (SmartThings) and Roku device firmware and app (RokuCast - Miracast receiver app) updates in the past that limited/broke Miracast connectivity between the two.
That being said there havent been any very recent RokuOS firmware (last December) or RokuCast app updates recently (more than 2 years ago), so this is more likely due to network conditions or possibly a S23 firmware update (other Samsung phones/tablets with the latest or much older firmware are tested/known currently working with Miracast to RokuOS)
Try rebooting all (Roku/Phone/Modem/Router/Gateway) devices @ the same time, make sure you connect both devices to the same SSID (5Ghz only preferred - separate SSIDs for 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz), make sure you dont have AP/device isolation enabled or are connecting to a Guest SSID, and make sure you have Prompt enabled and havent accidentally Blocked the S23 in your Roku screen mirroring settings (Settings/System/Screen mirroring).
As for alternatives FireOS devices have Miracast support, so it might be worth your time to acquire one as part of a multi-platform streaming strategy (you choose the device with the working/best app/functionality).
