My Roku (model 3040) is no longer mirroring the screen from either my MacBook Air or iPad. I don't often use it but it was working flawlessly.. until recently.
I have tried the recommended (someplace) to unplug, changed the prompt to always.. and back. NADA
When I select (from my MacBook) "screen mirroring" My TV (on regular cable TV) will almost immediately go to an "AIR PlAY" logo for a moment and then to the Roku default screen.
Any thoughts, advice, suggestions? Feel free to advise me
cheers & thanks

I’m having the same problem. Screen mirroring worked flawlessly when I set my tv up yesterday. But today, the airplay logo comes on and then the tv just goes back to Home Screen. Obviously if the airplay logo comes on, the two devices are communicating with each other, but the tv is rude, and hangs up. I have screen mirroring set to always allow, everything is on the same network. I have tv power set to fast on, my iPad and iPhone both have the Roku tv in the listings and selected when trying to mirror from either one. The software is updated on all devices and the tv. Please don’t just provide a cookie cutter standard response and try to help!
I found (in my case) it was my own fault. My network.has two connection speeds 2.4 and 5G. Both my MacBook and iPad seem to randomly connect to one or the other speeds. Seems I can only mirror while on the 2.4 connection so if I want to mirror I need to make sure I am on the 2.4 connection first.
