We appreciate you letting us know about the trouble you've encountered accessing your photos through backdrops on your Roku device. We're glad to help.
Have you already enabled Backdrops on your Roku device? If not, find the Backdrops app in Settings > Home Screen Menu > Backdrops > Open Backdrops app or in your home screen tile grid.
Don't see it? Search for the app "Backdrops" in the streaming store.
After you've enabled Backdrops and picked a collection, there are 5 easy ways to Start Backdrops as follows:

I am having the same problem. Created both a few Google Photos albums & manually added photos from my phone. Made sure Google Albums have settings to allow link sharing. The albums all appear on my account on backdrops.roku.com/stream, but none of my photo albums appear as an option to select on the Backdrops app on my Roku TV; only the default Roku art collections appear as options to select.

I’m having the same issue. Made a personal album and Google album and other will upload to where they can be selected. The directions say there will be on screen prompts, but the QR code is all you get and very little instruction. Has this ever been fixed??
