I just set up a new Roku Streambar. It is connected to my Samsung Smart TV with the hdmi arc cable port.

Everything works as expected.

I am streaming music from my ipad itunes library. I would like to be able to play/stream the music without having the TV turned on but cannot seem to find how to do that.

I read the info about using Fast Start but that option is not available in the Roku settings menu.

Is it possible for me to stream music from my ipad without having the TV turned on?

We understand that you wanted to be able to hear or listen to music when your TV is turned off. We got you!

You mentioned that the Fast Start feature could be used, and that is correct; you can enable this feature to use your TV when off and stream music. If you're having a hard time, you can follow the steps below to enable it. 

1. Press Home on your TV remote
2. Scroll and select Settings
3. Select System
4. Select Power
5. Select Fast TV Start
6. Highlight Enable 'Fast TV Start' and check the box to enable it

• Note: If you are connecting Roku wireless speakers or a Roku TV Wireless Soundbar to your Roku TV system, Fast TV Start is enabled during the guided setup process. For details, read the detailed article about setting up your wireless speakers or setting up your wireless soundbar.

Hi and thanks for your reply. Please review my question in the post above. I have just set up a roku stream bar to my Samsung (NOT ROKU) TV. 

As stated above, the Fast Start option is not available/does not exist in the roku settings menu.
