it looks like Roku is losing out with the poor quality of products

Don't blame Roku. Blame WalMart ONN products made by the cheapest slave labor they can find. Roku has announced their own branded TV's, but they are not for sale yet. All "Roku" TV's are just manufacturers like TCL and ONN using Roku software for the user interface.

Best Buy shows several Roku brand TVs as in stock near me.

I still prefer the Julie Brown model for TV selection: “I Like em Big and Stupid”, but perhaps these Roku brand Roku TVs will be OK.
