Is it normal for roku tv to slow down randomly? Netflix crashes.. TV's not responding from remote for a while then will work after a system restart. Connection is wired to the router. 1st roku tv and it's disappointing.. also noticed TV slows down when I connect it to a speaker via AUX cable (not all the time). good thing this was a gift 😂.

Welcome and thank you for posting here in the Roku Community, @fry35!
It is highly appreciated that you've reached out to us for support. No worries! We're here to help you get back on streaming the Netflix app.
Before we proceed, could you tell us more about your TCL Roku TV that randomly slows down? Do you experience this when streaming a certain app? If this is an isolated playback issue with the Netflix app, we can offer some troubleshooting methods to help you stream without interruptions. With this being said, kindly follow the steps provided below:
- Remove app: navigate to your Home screen, move to the right, highlight the app, press Star*, then select Remove channel
- Perform a system reboot: navigate to your Home, select Settings > System > Power > System restart
- Re-install the app: navigate to your Home, scroll and select Store, look for the app, then press Add channel
Furthermore, regarding your remote, have you tried putting in a fresh new set of batteries? If so, and the issue persists, kindly try to press and hold the Back and Home buttons simultaneously for about 30 seconds to reset it and then re-pair it again to see if this will make any difference.
Please let us know how it goes and we'll continue assisting you from there. Hope this helps!
Best regards,
Carly

Re: Need help with my Sluggish Roku TV (TCL)?
here let me help since ever the mods for this company don’t want you to know. “Delete and replace the app” shut up and give us what we want. Cache clear buttons and proper resets. Okay so from the Home Screen.. push HOME 5 times.. UP 1 time.. REWIND 2 times.. FAST FORWARD 2 times. This performs a cache clearing reset of the TV… No Sadat is lost just the built up of unnecessary cache.
