Re: The Missing Letters/Character Issue
"Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention"...Really?? Don't you guys read the threads?? Your scripted response has been the same one for a year. Restarting is NOT a solution unless having to restart twice is day is considered a solution. As for sending the 'additional information' requested, many others have already sent that, some have even bought new Roku Sticks, and the problem still exists. To continue telling people you are working on a resolution is obviously not true when the same response was given in August of 2023. Unbelievable.

Re: The Missing Letters/Character Issue
Agree that Roku should have delivered a fix by now. This has been a problem on my stream bar ever since I bought it. I’m also ready to toss my Roku ecosystem and move to something less buggy.
Roku team, PLEASE deliver a solution to this issue.

Re: The Missing Letters/Character Issue
If everyone had this issue, they would do something about it. But since it evidently affects just some people, it won't affect their sales/subscribers($$$), they couldn't care less.

Re: The Missing Letters/Character Issue
I have had this issue of missing characters and menu images for over a year now. Resetting the device corrects it for a while. Problem returns a short while later.

Re: The Missing Letters/Character Issue
Hi @Mike_yooper,
Welcome to the Roku Community!
Thanks for letting us know about your Roku device's missing letters and menu images. We're sorry to hear that the issue persists after resetting it.
We are interested in learning more about your problem, and we'll ask you a set of questions to help you better.
- Does the issue occur only on a specific channel or throughout the Roku platform?
- Could you send us a screenshot or a photo for reference?
- Can we have the Tracker ID (when you see this issue occur, press the Home button 5 times, followed by the Back button 5 times, and provide us with this ID)
We look forward to hearing from you and looking closely into this issue.
All the best,
Chel

Re: Missing letters on main screens
Over a year later and I'm still having this issue with a Roku Soundbar. No other Roku boxes/units have this issue, just the soundbar. Can't believe the Team doesn't know what the issue is.

Re: The Missing Letters/Character Issue
I have 3 Roku devices (all soundbars) and they each have this issue. I am constantly resetting them. Is there a more permanent solution? It seems worse on certain apps, Hulu seems to be the worst one.

Hi @DCI_Benway, @lmunoz0317,
Thanks for posting to the Roku Community regarding the issue you are experiencing with the missing letters.
To better assist you, please let us know when you first noticed this problem and how long it occurred.
In the meantime, we recommend trying the following steps to restart your Roku player:
- Go to Settings > System > Power > System restart. (If you don’t see the Power submenu, you can skip to the next step.)
- If the issue is happening on a specific channel, please follow these steps:
• Navigate to the channel tile on the Roku home screen, press the * key on your remote, and choose Remove channel.
• Next, restart your device from Settings>System>Power>System restart (If you do not see a Power submenu, skip to the next step).
• After your Roku device restarts, visit the Roku Channel Store and add the channel again.
Please keep us posted on what you find out, and we'll continue assisting you from there.
All the best,
Chel
