Hisense 50R6E3 TV unresponsive and stuck in restart loop after attempting to restart

Jump to solution

Same model number 50R6E3 and made in 2021. Two-year-old TV   red light flashes 3 times with black screen. Sever customs complain about the same identical issue. SHOULD BE A RECALL ON THIS ISSUE OR REPLACE TV AT NO CHARGE.

Have anyone figure out what's the issue with this model.

Hi! @willdog30,

Thanks for reaching out to the Roku Community!

How long have you had this issue?

When was the last time it worked? if ever?

  • Check if the front LED light by the brand name is on. If the light is there but not on, try unplugging the power cord and inserting it into the outlet again. Make sure it is fully inserted; appearances may be deceiving. Make sure the outlet has power.
  • If the TV is plugged into a surge protector or a power strip, try unplugging other devices or switching the power cord to be plugged in directly to the wall outlet.
  • If the cord is also detachable from the TV, make sure it is also fully inserted on both ends. You can also try unplugging and waiting 30 seconds before re-inserting.
  • Check if the front LED light is on, then turn on the TV using the button on the TV.
  • If there is still no solution, try resetting the TV using the built-in button.

Located on the back or bottom of your device, the physical Reset button is either tactile or a pinhole design that requires a straightened paperclip. It will appear similar to one of the following:

Example of physical reset buttons on a Roku TV or Roku player

Once you locate the Reset button and your Roku device is powered on, press and hold the button firmly for about 10 seconds. When the factory reset is complete, an indicator light or status LED will blink rapidly on most Roku devices.

After a successful factory reset, your Roku device will restart in the same state as a factory-new device.

Please keep us posted what you find out and will be more than happy to continue assisting you further. We look forward to hearing back from you.

Thanks,

Arjiemar

Thanks for keeping us posted, @dermat71.

We appreciate the troubleshooting steps you took to resolve this issue. If none of the provided fixes have worked, this could suggest internal issues with the TV, particularly in the circuit board at the back. That being said, we recommend you reach out to the manufacturer for additional help, as this may be known on their end.

Each Roku TV manufacturer provides direct support and warranty services for their products running the Roku OS. You can locate their support contact information here: Contacting Support for Your Roku TV.

Thanks,
Janadee

I replaced small capacitors inside tv...Works fine!

350v  10 uf  ....purchased approx. 12 from Amazon for less than $20....takes only two.

Youtube has step by step instructions video.

Those should do it....was easy to replace....removed circuit board, removed capacitor and soldered in!

Yeah so I'm having the same issue, I've tried all of those and it's not working. It was fine for the last 2 years until today.

I had to replace the capacitors on the motherboard. Watched a YouTube video on how to do it, but that was the problem. A bag of 20 capacitors cost me about $8. Need a soldering gun too, but I already had one.
