Ours is a Onn TV. We just set it up today. It is a Roku TV. The menu keeps popping up and we have to manually clear it off the screen. How do we fix this problem.

@Wolfwoman1904, you may have set it up for store mode. Factory reset it from Settings->System->Advanced system settings and start over.

It's the standard "channel/program info banner"  it just pops up randomly, and a LOT.  On both live OTA  TV channels and Roku live tv channels.  And, no not accidently pressing the remote.

I have the following...

42" Onn Roku Smart TV
Onn Model: 100018254
Roku: 8824X

... and am experiencing the this same issue as well, but, in addition, when I'm in the TV Guide Menu scrolling through the channels, I'm immediately exited from the Guide to the current channel because of this same pop-up.

I had reset the TV twice...

1st via the Main Menu and the same thing happened. So I performed it the 2nd time via the Reset Button in the rear and the same thing happened.

There's no time period, action, etc... that makes this happen more or less frequently. It does this pop-up sporadically and sometimes more frequently than others.

I just get frustrated (with Roku) when this happens.

Can you PLEASE have your tech team look into this for a resolution as soon as possible.

@EBS, try taking the batteries out of the remote to see if it still happens.  It could also be some other remote that the TV is picking up or IR interference from a light or the sun.

This is happening to me too! It is so annoying. The channel info pops up after landing on a streaming channel for about 1 minute. I've reset the tv and power cycled--no luck.
