Welcome to the Roku Community, @deacon1937!
We appreciate you reaching out for support. We'd be more than happy to help you contact the right support for this.
Since this is an isolated authentication issue within the YouTube TV app only, we highly recommend directly coordinating this with the channel provider as they develop and manage their app on the Roku streaming platform independently.
You may also check our support article dedicated to how to solve playback issues, but if the issue persists after doing so, please coordinate this directly with their Support team.
You may reach them here for further assistance: YouTube TV Support | Contact Us
We hope this will be sorted out soon.
Best regards,
Carly
The info work for me too. I don't have to buy a new roku tv now, thank you.
Still happens. Might fix for a week or two then happens again. Uggg. About to quit YouTube subscription.
Mine went back to signing in all the time again, about a week or two here too.
This is a confusing instruction to me. Can you walk us through it? I did the first part many times, but it just goes back to signing in mode a few weeks later.
Unplug tv and Roku along with whatever else is to your tv. Plug back in. If your 2 part identification is off this will work. Make sure two part id is not on google or YouTube or Roku.
works ever time.
Hi, Community users.
We understand your posts regarding the YouTube TV sign-in issue.
Let's perform a troubleshooting step to resolve the issue. Refer to the instructions below to address the YouTube TV sign-in issue.
Once this has been performed, kindly access the app once again and sign-in to the YouTube TV app to see if you notice any improvements.
We hope this works.
Best wishes,
Kash
I did that a week ago and it work for 1 week. My ONN 32" Roku Tv does not have this issue. Just my 40" Insignia Roku tv.
Hi, @TexGuy
Thanks for keeping us posted on this thread.
To assist you further, we recommend that your other Roku TV, which is having the issue, updates its Roku software to the latest version and the YouTube TV app.
Follow the instructions below to manually check for software and app updates.
To update an app on Roku, navigate to the app on your home screen, press the asterisk (*) button on your remote, and select "Check for updates" from the menu that appears; your Roku will automatically download and install any available updates for that app.
If the issue persists, we recommend reaching out to YouTube TV's support and letting them know about your experience with their app on Roku. Functionalities within their app, like the sign-in error, can be resolved by their support providing a workaround or developing an update to fix the issue.
Let us know what you find out.
Thanks,
Kash
