I'd like to report an issue pertaining to the the lack of an actual resolution to this problem. It's rather embarrassing to see the same, lame responses to reports of this exact problem for months on end.
If it's getting reported to the development team - as some responses imply - then perhaps thoughts should be given to replacing said development team - as they clearly aren't developing any competency.
I think it’s important to note that this might not be Roku’s fault. I have this issue as well and disabling the HDR did work one time but that was it. I did remove and restart and that did nothing.
Peacock needs to resolve this issue. They don’t appear interested in that but would rather force people to use Peacock for that recent playoff game.
Alternate solution: Cast the game from your phone to your Roku. The color looks totally normal when you do this. Go figure.
I am also experiencing this issue. I usually am watching TV shows on the app on my tv and don’t have an issue. However, I have watched 2 animation movies within the last 2 weeks and noticed this muted color issue. I thought it was just a problem with the first movie, but as I am watching this second movie I realized it may be a Peacock problem. I tried adjusting my picture settings but it doesn’t help much. I also did the reset and it didn’t do anything. It’s just odd that it is movies and not the shows. I watch about 6 different shows on it regularly and never have this problem.

Hi There!
So, I have a TCL 50in Roku included in the tv. I am watching Peacock on the downloaded app on the TV. I have a paid subscription for their app. This color adjustment isn’t happening on any other app I’m using on my tv for shows or movies. How would you like me to send the photos because I’m noticing I can post them in my reply?

It’s literally all sporting events. It happens on Peacock, Fox Sports, Max, etc. this is definitely a Roku issue not an app issue. On my newer higher series TCL Roku TV, it’s not an issue.
Welcome to the Roku Community, @CRAndrews!

Tried watching the Olympic openings ceremonies on Peacock but the picture is so faded/washed out, I feel like I’m watching a distant channel on an analog antennae. It’s not Peacock, because I tuned in with an Amazon Firestick and the picture is pristine.
This is not the first time the app has looked like this on Roku. College football, NFL in the past. I’ve complained but nothing has been fixed.
Again: not the app. I’ve redownloaded, log-in, restarted, etc. to no avail. And as I said, looks fine on Firestick.
I hope to post this and get some back up from fellow users that this issue needs fixed.
I’m also hoping that ALL of the live Olympic events don’t look like this. If so, then it’s buy-bye Roku, hello Firestick full time.
Hello,
Check Roku Settings: First, ensure that your Roku display settings are optimized. Go to your Roku home screen, navigate to “Settings,” then “Display type.” Make sure it’s set to the correct resolution (e.g., 1080p or 4K) based on your TV. HDMI Cable and Port: Verify that you’re using a high-quality HDMI cable to connect your Roku to your TV. Sometimes a faulty cable can affect picture quality. Additionally, try connecting your Roku to a different HDMI port on your TV to rule out any issues with a specific port. Peacock App Settings: Within the Peacock app, check if there are any specific video quality settings. Some apps allow you to adjust streaming quality (e.g., low, medium, high). If available, try changing the streaming quality to see if it improves the picture. Network Connection: A stable internet connection is crucial for streaming quality. Make sure your Roku is connected to a reliable Wi-Fi network. Restart your router or modem to refresh the connection. Software Updates: Ensure that both your Roku device and the Peacock app are up to date. Sometimes software updates address performance issues. Contact Peacock Support: Reach out to Peacock’s customer support directly. They may have additional troubleshooting steps or be aware of any known issues related to Roku devices.
