Please read my whole post and the one I did previously. I solved the problem, BTW.
Time to move to the Nvidia shield
You obviously have not been paying attention to your Roku devices. Every few weeks I have to delete unwanted channels that Roku added without my permission. I am single and am the only one using them. I just deleted Hbomax, Showtime, Hulu and Spectrum. Where I live spectrum is not available here and I have to constantly delete it.
Thanks for the post.
How many Roku devices do you have connected to your Roku account? Are those channels being added to another device that is linked to your Roku account?
With more detailed information, we will be able to assist you further.
Thanks,
Danny
@marvinjames Try one of the screen savers without ads - for example the Roku clock screen savers are ad-free.
I went in to "Settings", then "Home screen" and checked "hide". That solved the problem, and I have not had any automatic downloads since.
Maybe you should buy a Roku and experience what is being said here instead of making excuses. There’s plenty of evidence here to confirm that Roku allows it.
This thread is 2 years old by the way
It’s not you. It’s them. Follow the money. They likely receive incentives to promote the channels who want your subscription.
The issue is alive and well btw. One would think it would be resolved.
