TV goes black but has sound when you try to rent or watch newer movies on apps such as Amazon Prime, Disney, Peacock, ect.

Hi @Snodgrass3,

Welcome to the Roku Community!

Seems like you're having a playback issue and we got you covered for that. If you haven't tried any troubleshooting we would recommend to check some of it here: How to resolve a channel playback issue.

Or let us know if this has been used so that we can move forward.

Thanks,

Same thing happened to me.  My TV was working fine and just tried to watch something on Disney and the whole screen went black and will not come back.  There is some sound but no picture. @support1
