Started yesterday. I normally play Spotify on my iPad and connect to Spotify on my Roku from there. Never had an issue. It will connect and show what is playing but won’t actually play the song. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
I'm not following you. Playing Spotify on an iPad has nothing to do with playing the same app on a Roku. Sure, you can screen mirror the iPad to the Roku (I just tried mirroring my iPhone 13 to my Ultra 4800 with no issues), but you're using the phone to stream an app that is also available on the Roku. Why not play it on the app on the Roku and eliminate using the iPad completely?
Or am I misunderstanding what you are trying to do?
If Spotify isn't playing music on your iPad, here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:
Restart the App: Close the Spotify app completely and reopen it.
Check Volume and Mute: Make sure your iPad’s volume is up and not muted. Also, check the volume on your Roku.
Reboot Devices: Restart both your iPad and Roku.
Update the App: Ensure that you have the latest version of the Spotify app. Go to the App Store and check for updates.
Check Network Connection: Make sure both your iPad and Roku are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
Re-login: Try logging out of your Spotify account on your iPad and then logging back in.
Clear Cache: If you're using Spotify’s offline mode, try clearing the app cache in the settings.
Reinstall Spotify: If nothing else works, try deleting and reinstalling the Spotify app.
Check for System Updates: Make sure your iPad is running the latest version of iOS.
If you’ve tried all these steps and it’s still not working, you might want to check Spotify’s support page or forums for any ongoing issues.
