When I press the play/pause button on the remote, the channel changes to TUBI. I removed the app and it still shows on the Home Screen, separate from the other apps. 

TUBI is on the Home Screen, in the lower left corner, separate from the other apps and shows the play/pause button ⏯️ to access TUBI. I neither need nor want TUBI. This has rendered the play/pause button useless for all other channels. 
Example: I was watching Netflix, paused for a moment and TUBI took over.

 I have been using a Roku device for years. This problem started yesterday, 2/24/2025.
Very frustrating.

That's an ad in the lower left that comes and goes and will launch whatever is advertised when you press Play/Pause when you're on the Home Screen.  How long was a "moment"?  Was the screensaver active?  Some screensavers also advertise apps that will be launched when you press Play/Pause.  If the screensaver is active, press any other button on your remote to dismiss it and then press Play/Pause to continue watching.
