I am having the same problem over the last few days.  I have three different Rokus, all different models.  Same thing, you launch Spotify and it stays on the launch screen.  I have removed, reset, and reloaded on two of my devices  This is absolutely an app issue.  I would say more of a Spotify issue that a Roku issue really.

I am having the same issue on three different Rokus of different models.   Removed the app and restarted, the reinstalled the app with no change.  I'm actually hesitant to call it a Roku issue but there seems to be no good way to contract Spotify about a Roku app issue.

Try unplugging the Roku for 30 to 60 seconds and see if that helps.

  • Roku device model, serial number, device ID, and OS version. (this can all be found in Settings > System > About)
  • Tracker ID (when you see this issue occur, press the Home button 5 times, followed by the Back button 5 times, and provide us with this ID)
  • Channel build version (highlight the channel, press the start * button of your Roku remote)

I’m also having the same problem and I’ve tried on three different Roku devices.  I have completed factory resets, reinstalled the actual channel and every other possible option with no luck.

My issue is precisely as described by OP and others, up to and including the white box.

 

I did the usual troubleshooting of updating/rebooting/uninstall+reinstall.

 

Pertinents as follows:

Device Model: 3820R2 - Streaming Stick 4K
Serial Number: X02500X27V9P
Device ID: S0J734527V9P
OS Version: 14.0

Tracker ID: 9P-512-543

Spotify version 2.11 - build 67

How to fix Spotify not launching on my Roku device

Hi! 
@RokuCarly 
I’m having the same issue with my Spotify app as @claraeileen99 had, and tried all the steps you recommended, but they didn’t work. 
I also live in the US, but actually didn’t recently move. The app just suddenly stopped working on my Roku. Worked just fine yesterday. All my other apps work just fine, my WiFi and all works fine. But no Spotify. 
This is the only thread I can find that matches my situation. Any additional help with this would be great 🙂
