In case it's helpful to anyone else, my problem is that my roku was associated with a US-based account but I am using it in Canada. I factory reset and then created a new account in Canada and everything works fine.
Would be great if the app could share an error message rather than just silently failing like it does today.
I have a TCL Roku 4K tv
up until this week the Roku channel worked fine.
now when I try to play anything, the page just refreshes and nothing loads.
I have checked. The channel is up to date, the tv is up to date. I have deleted the channel, restarted the tv, re-installed the app multiple times.
nothing works.
my older Hisense HD tv works fine, so it’s kind of weird that the newer tv isn’t working properly.
i’m in Canada if that matters.
Well run me over and call me stinky! It works. Thank you so much
Thanks for providing us with your information.
Can you also reply here with the GC build? This can be found by scrolling up within The Roku Channel and selecting About. Please let us know as well which region you created your Roku account and where you are currently located.
We'll keep an eye out for your response.
All the best,
Kariza
Thanks for the reply.
Could you tell us in which region you created your Roku account and where you are currently located?
With this information, we can assist you further.
All the best,
Kariza
I’m in Canada. My account is Canadian. I did a factory reset of the tv, as suggested by someone else, and it worked.
@RokuKariza-D I don't see GC Build... I made the account in the United States and I am still in the United States. The Channel is not working on either of my devices. I factory reset the TVs and made a new roku account. It's still not working
I am having exact same problem. Roku channel only. Every other channel fine. Nothing (film or series) will play on the Roku channel. I have tried all recommended resolves on this thread including system reset and factory reset and re-install on a new account.
Please investigate:
