Peacock not reaching HD if another app is used beforehand - Roku 4K stick

An issue I've been experiencing recently (not sure if it's because of new update) is that if Peacock is first app I run it gets up to resolution just fine. However if I use another app (Youtube, Disney +) and then try and relaunch a program in Peacock it doesn't get back to HD. If i do a system restart and clear the cache it solves the problem but im now having to do this every morning to watch my program. Does anyone have any suggestions and is this a known issue. It's making the device a pain to stick with. #

Hi @BlueHippu3,

Thanks for reporting this here in the Roku Community!

We understand that you're having issues with the Peacock channel. We're happy to look into this.

Could you tell us if the issue is only persistent with Peacock? Also, could you first try the basic troubleshooting steps just to check if there will be a difference with streaming:

  1. Remove the channel: navigate to your Home screen, move to the right, highlight the app, press Star*, then select Remove channel
  2. Perform a system reboot: navigate to your Home, select Settings > System > Power (skip if unavailable) > System restart
  3. Re-install the channel: navigate to your Home, scroll and select Store, look for the app, then press Add channel

Please keep us posted.

Regards,
Janadee

Re: Peacock not reaching HD if another app is used beforehand - Roku 4K stick

Hi @RokuJanadeeK , I tried this and it did not work. I also did a full foctory reset of my device and still ran into the same problem. I also seem to be running into a simaler problem with Prime Video but it's hard to tell. I'm thinking  for some reason my Roku Stick is not shutting down it's programs correctly and that is keeping apps that are not be opened immediatly after a cache reset are suffering performance issues because of it. I've tested my internet speed and its always around 140 Mbps which is more than enough to support multiple 4K streams, so internet is not an issue. I've also reset network and unplugged my router. Do we have a solution for this or is it even a known issue. I'd rather not go down the warrenty route.
