I have not been able to play paramount + for about a week on my roku. I get a message saying there is a playback error on all shows that I try to play. I have tried all of the recommendations in this thread and it still will not play.

I'm experiencing the same behavior - with the exception of a Paramount+ logo, a blank dark screen.

One perhaps interesting thing I've noticed about the Paramount+ channel, is that when I press "*" on the channel and check for a channel update, it _always_ updates - or at least says it does. The Version number of the channel does not change, even though the Roku reports it has been updated.

I signed up for Paramount Plus for the free week and it was only supposed to have some shows with an ad or 2bat beginning and end but The Good fight has about 30 ads per shoe. I think somehow I ended up with Essential instead of the ad free. Help!

In my case I did it over the browser directly on Paramount ..
I have a Sony TV with the native ( TV ) android App and works flawless over the same network / wireless infrastructure.

I have the same problem, no login screen, just the logo.
I tried deleting the app, restarting roku, and installing it again, but it doesn't work.
