Had the Roku app for years and it’s no longer available in the App Store on this Samsung tv. It still works on 3 other Samsung tv’s that we own but no longer on this one. Model code UN60KU6300 Would like this app installed because we use it and it came with the tv when we bought it.
Welcome to the Roku Community, @perki150!
Thanks for reaching out. We'd like to provide further information about the availability of The Roku Channel on your Samsung TV.
Please be informed that the Roku streaming platform constantly upgrades and updates its running software operating system. It might be possible that your Samsung TV's OS version is out of date which might cause playback issues or no playback at all.
We suggest updating the software version of your Samsung TV, as The Roku Channel is available on Samsung TVs with Tizen OS 2.3 and above.
We hope this helps!
Best regards,
Carly
Last week, all the apps on my 7 year old Samsung TV disappeared. I was able to reload most of the original apps and did not have to sign in again. The one app that is no longer available is the Roku app which is my access point to NFL+. The Roku Channel app is available to download but you cannot access NFL+ through this app. Any suggestions?
Hi, @Monchmant
Thanks for posting, and welcome to the Roku Community.
We appreciate you for letting us know about your concern with the Roku app on your Samsung TV.
We'd like to clarify some information for us to assist you further. Do you use a Roku device with your Samsung TV? Also, do you access the NFL+ app through the Roku platform, or with the Samsung TV itself?
With more clarified details, our team can assist you further.
Best wishes,
Kash
Samsung is notorious for dropping support for their OS and the apps after a few years. Based on the model number you provided, that TV looks to be 8 years old. It is highly likely that the current APPs are no longer supported on that TV. I have a different model that is slightly newer where a similar thing has happened.
It might be that the only solution is a newer smart TV or a newer streaming device that supports the new versions of the apps that you are looking to use on that TV.
