I also have Dish Network and use anywhere dish on my other fire tv. However, I saw that on Ruko you could download channels for example "Newsmax" and use your Dish login to stream it. However, when I try that it tells me it is going to cost $7.99 a month.
So how do I upload channels that I watch on Dish to Ruko with my Dish login and not be charged?
Thank you
Krista
At times, I have logged into channels using my Dish account. However, the channels I logged into were marked: "CABLE OR SATELLITE SUBSCRIPTION REQUIRED" in the Roku channelstore. The Newsmax app is marked "SERVICE MAY REQUIRE ADDITIONAL FEES". So it's possible that that one may not have the cable tie-in option. Perhaps Newsmax customer support might have a way. ????
Maybe Dish has an app that allows you to stream your subscription package on the app or at least cast to it. I don't have Dish, so I don't know for sure, but the cable provider I use has an app that allows me to stream to Roku all the channels I have in the subscription I have with them through their app. If they don't, maybe you could contact them and request a streaming Roku app. If enough people request it, they may create one.
