I'm sure you are right. I've had YT TV for over a year and this never happened until just recently when I got the bright idea to use Roku.
Thanks for sharing your input, @Emissary35.
Please be aware that we don't have access to the operating system of the standalone channels and how their app works as they are the ones who provided, maintained, and updated their app on the Roku streaming platform.
So with issues like this, it will be highly effective to directly reach out to the channel provider themselves, which in this case, the YouTube app, and let them know about having to sign into your account every time you open the channel as their app may need an update from them.
You can contact them on their official Support page.
Once again, we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. We hope you get everything sorted out soon and appreciate you bearing with us in the meantime.
Best regards,
Carly

I tried all that several times, to no avail.

Not a solve! Started right back up today after the fix DONE IN THE CORRECT ORDER& it doesn't work Roku!🤨 I'm getting pretty angry about had bad Rokus are lately! VERY DISAPOINTED AFTER PROMOTING YOU FOR YEARS😖 no more! Y'all have gone "the way of Cain.."
They don't care! Roku now took their market share from our support and has gone as corrupt as Apple.. there is no fix is it's them.. They just try to keep you business as long as they can.. just like Amazon!
Did you ever think that it's the new Roku business plan? I'm having it on all my Rokus.. Roku is as bad as the internet company making you go through defunct fixes bc there is no solve it's a type of built in obsolescence? The help page is full of this **bleep** regurgitated to you by a pet ai giving the appearance of caring for their customers? Ditching Roku!
Hi, @mE_2020_2020,
Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention on your YouTube channel. I wanted to ask if you have had a chance to manually update both the app and your Roku device. If not, I would be happy to assist you with the steps to update.
After completing these updates, please restart your system and check if the issue still persists.
Hope this helps!
Best,
