I installed the Google Search app on my Roku device, and it said I'd be promoted to log into my Google account, but I wasn't. Now I can't get it to work, I can't navigate through any of the page after it loads, and I think it's because I'm not logged into my Google account? I've seen that somebody else had the same problem, but I didn't see any solution. He's anybody been able to use this app at all, or is Google just getting rich by charging everybody $4.99 for an app that doesn't work?
I looked through the channel store, and I saw several apps that included google in their names, but none of the ones I looked at were created by Google. As for getting rich: if some guy can write an app and get one out of every ten thousand Roku users to use it, that would be a pretty significant amount of money for him.
Do you have a curser? If so, how did you enable?
I could not get a cursor to come up. I could go down the page, but not highlight or click on anything. There was a menu on the right of the page, and I clicked on log in, but once the log in screen came up, I couldn't navigate to the username or password spaces to log in. There was a forward arrow up by the address bar that I could toggle to but it didn't do anything. Do you know how to enable a cursor?
Hi @QueenLinLin,
Thanks for posting in the Roku Community!
We understand that you are having trouble logging in to your Google account on the Google Search app because the cursor is not available. We're here to assist you with this.
Could you please take a clear photo of the TV screen showing the Google Search app you installed on your Roku? We would also appreciate it if you could capture a screenshot of the Google Search app displaying the login screen. This will help us better understand the situation.
How do I insert an image in a post?
We hope this will be sorted out soon.
Cheers,
Riamie
