Re: Roku channel will not play anything

Hi @Ks221,

A warm welcome to the Roku Community!

We appreciate you letting us know about the issue you've encountered with The Roku Channel not playing content. We would be more than happy to assist. Could you please provide us with the following information:

  • Who is your ISP (internet service provider)?
  • What is your IP address (from http://whatismyip.com)?
  • Roku device model, serial number, device ID, and software OS/version (these can all be found in Settings > System > About).

Once we receive the information, we'll pass it along to the appropriate Roku team for further investigation.

All the best,
Kash

Re: Roku channel will not play anything

You received all that information almost 3 months ago.  There are several of us that have not heard back from Roku in two months. Look at Twitter and see the complaints.

Roku channel: nothing will play

I have three Roku devices on three TVs. Everything else works fine. When I select the Roku channel and select the show (bones)/play it returns to the main screen with the play option again. No matter what I pick in the Roku channel. The same thing happens even on shows that I’ve watched before I have the option to resume.

Re: Content on the Roku Channel Will Not Play

If you are using a VPN, turn it off and Roku Channel should work fine.

Re: Roku channel: nothing will play

Good luck after providing all this! I've submited this info several times, get no replies or fixes. I have not been able to do any streaming from Roku channel since February. But Peacock, Prime, Paramount, Youtube, and PBS all work good.

I have never been contacted directly by Roku, just these shills here that keep promoting the same BS but not reporting that anyone has had this issue fixed.

Re: The Roku Channel does not play anything

How much patience do you suggest? A week, a month, 6 months, or more in my case?  Do they really have someone trying to fix this interminable problem? Maybe, just maybe if ROKU hired trained program specialists they could solve a problem that no other channel seems to have.
