Changing something to the Roku Pay Method
I have a Hulu subscription, and due to an error months ago when I installed it, I did not get it set up for paying via Roku. This is my only subscription that is like that, and I would like to make it consistent with the others. Does anyone have a step-by-step method for doing it? Here's what I believe Hulu told me:
- Log out of Hulu on the Roku TV
- Remove the Hulu app (i.e. cancel the subscription) using the Roku remote
- Install the Hulu app, using the Roku PIN
- Open Hulu and log in using the same Hulu ID and password as before
I thought I did everything correctly but Hulu doesn't show my payment method changed. Has anyone else successfully done this?

Re: Changing something to the Roku Pay Method
Hi, @Tim_Hare!
Greetings from the Roku Community!
If I understand it correctly, you want to change your subscription via Roku, right? If so, you need to cancel the subscription through Hulu and wait for its valid through date.
- If you have subscriptions to streaming services that are not managed or billed through Roku such as Netflix, Hulu, Apple TV, Prime Video, or others, you need to contact the service provider directly to upgrade or change your subscription. (How to upgrade or change a subscription billed to your Roku account)
I also recommend reaching out to our Account and Billing team to help you change your subscription. You may reach one of our live experts here: Roku Support Contact Us | Account and Billing
We hope you find this information helpful!
Warm regards,
