paid for peacock subscription, roku account shows peacock subscription active, peacock app still wants us to subscribe, cannot use app, cannot delete app to be able to re-install app, no support contact for roku or peacock; my first time with roku, is this some kind of scam to get me to pay more money? dont know what i can do….

We're here to provide some steps you may try about having an issue accessing your subscription.
Have you seen a sign-in button on your screen? If so, click on it and sign in with your credentials.
Please note that if it’s billed through your Roku account, you must sign in to the app using the username and password you created for that account. If you signed up for a subscription directly through the streaming service, you must sign in with the username and password you created for that account.

In the future, ALWAYS subscribe directly on a services WEBSITE! This will eliminate weird access issues, and gives you flexibility to use any available device.
Not sure if it's available through The Roku Channel, but any subscription signed up through that will ONLY work through The Roku Channel. It's similar to signing up to services through Amazon Prime or Apple TV+.

My email is sherri sherri123@gmail.com... You charged me $7.99 on the card ending in 16 51 Navy Federal credit Union... I canceled my subscription but I have not been able to launch or watch peacock and it won't let me in I've tried everything!!!! I only got peacock through the Roku TV channel to watch the series of "fight night"I'm terribly upset as a subscription will not be canceled till November 4th... I've tried everything to no avail please help!!!! And by the way I think it's awful that you do not have human contact to solve the problem... There's no customer support telephone number at all everything is artificial intelligence and I'm very upset with peacock Roku TV!!!!! Subscriptions typically have no refund. One paid, they are active until the next payment date.
There are 3 ways to subscribe. Directly through Peacock, through Roku, and through The Roku Channel. For the last, it can ONLY be accessed through TRC. For the first two, you use the Peacock app.

I have a similar issue: I signed up this evening and payed for the premium monthly subscription, I verified that my roku account and the device use the same user email. I can watch a show by signing up on my laptop, but the peacock app on my Roku device doesn't recognize the subscription.
Both roku and peacock sites say my subscription is managed by roku.com.
@vdogaru, have you tried accessing Peacock through "The Roku Channel" app?
It's happening to me rn! It shows my payment went through, I paid through my Roku account and Peacock will not open the show I want to watch, just says need subscription. I go to the 7.99 premium button, click it and says I already have the subscription. Then ....at the bottom it says restart app, I have several times and does nothing!!! Whose fault is this BS?? I paid for nothing!!
