Doesn't work.. I go to the pin page and there is no option to create a pin. I can't find anywhere to start.

I bought a ROKU tv from a friend and I can’t add apps without the pin. She doesn’t remember it. How can I change the pin without the old one?
If you log into your device's current account at https://my.roku.com you can create or reset a PIN value. You can then choose when the PIN is to be required, such as before it will allow any subscription or purchase to be made on your account, or add a channel.
But it sounds like you are still linked to your friend's Roku account. A factory reset will be needed to set this Roko up from scratch and link it to an account of your own. Factory reset is accessed via Settings > System > Advanced system settings > Factory reset.
I followed all instructions for my TCL tv installation. The ROKU works, but I did not initially set up a PIN, but it won't let me add channels without one. I created a PIN and it still does not work. I wish I never put the Tv. I did not have issues with my smaller ROKU device.
@kimpr, do you still have the other Roku device? Can you add channels to it? Are you sure that the email address that shows under Settings->System->About is the same email address you're using to log in at https://my.roku.com ?

Once inside your account, you can also make changes to your PIN preferences.
