How do I update my subscription where I can pay it manually.

Jump to solution

Hey I have some subscriptions, and they are currently on auto pay where the streaming services automatically takes money out of my bank account every month. I need to make it where it doesn't automatically renew every month and I can pay it manually. Or at least change the date where the subscription will renew.

Have you tried doing it on the website? If not, you can follow the steps below on how to update your payment method and resubscribe to a channel:

Also, after updating your payment method, if you want to resubscribe to a channel through Roku, you can do it manually by following the steps below:

  • If you've unsubscribed recently and you're billing period has not yet ended, or you've subscribed through The Roku Channel, go to Manage your subscriptions in your Roku account to resubscribe
  • If you're no longer being billed and your subscription has ended, go to Manage your subscription> Inactive subscriptions > Resubscribe.
  • Launch the app and follow the on-screen instructions
  • Find the app in the Streaming Store or The Roku Channel and select Subscribe, then follow the instructions

Note: If you have subscriptions to streaming services that are not managed by Roku, visit the provider's website or contact them directly.

You can manage your subscriptions that are through Roku at https://my.roku.com by logging in using the email address that's displayed on your Roku device under Settings->System->About.  However, about all you can do is stop the auto-renew.  There's no way to change the date which depends on when you start the subscription.  Any subscription you have directly with a provider like Netflix, Hulu, etc., has to be managed on their website.
