If you're worried about subscribing to something just by installing a channel, that generally isn't how it works. There usually isn't any charge to install a channel/app and if there is you will be informed of the cost when you add the channel. The cost for the subscription will also be shown before you purchase it through Roku. For subscriptions taken out directly with the provider you'd have to research the price on the provider's website which will probably also have more options than what you can get through "Roku pay". I'd advise adding a PIN to your Roku account at https://my.roku.com so that you're prompted for a PIN before you inadvertently or unwittingly make a purchase that you didn't intend.
