Backdrops is not launching after streaming on Disney+

This is a bit of a grey area as to where to post the issue.

Backdrops is set to automatically launch after 30 minutes and seems to work fine except when I stream on Disney+.
At night while sleeping I will stream Star Wars Clone Wars episodes on Disney+ the entire night. After so many episodes, Disney+ will stop automatically playing the next episode. I assume this is a built-in operation through their service to save bandwidth or something or other. Anyway, when this occurs and the Roku/Disney+ are idle the Roku screensaver will launch after a couple of minutes but will never launch Backdrops.

Is this because Disney+ prevents Backdrops from launching, meaning Backdrops will only launch from the Roku Home Screen and not if some other service has been streaming? Is Disney+ behaving as expected as I have described it?

I do have all relevant Roku device settings for saving bandwidth and idling turned off.

To expand on Disney+ interruptions, two different events are occurring.

One; After a random or inconsistent number of episodes Disney+ will stop automatically playing the next episode of a series.

Two; While streaming on Disney+ the app will semi-regularly close entirely and return me to the Home Screen of the Roku.
