TCL 75-inch Roku TV model 75S451 is not showing options to connect Bluetooth devices
I just bought the TCL 75 inch roku TV model 75s451. I have tried to follow the instructions as follows: Settings > Remotes & devices > Pair Bluetooth device. Bluetooth is not an option. It says the following (can't add a photo to show you otherwise I would) : Settings > remotes and devices > remotes or speakers then a small line (with setup on it ) under that a plus circled Add device I click on speakers I see add new speakers .. select add new speakers... Gives me 3 options : wireless speakers , wireless sound bar, or subwoofer on the left side of screen. Now on right side of the screen it has a box that says learn about compatible speaker goto website. Then under that is says " for Bluetooth speakers , select Bluetooth audio device in this list" yet it is not listed at all. So how do I connect my phone or tablet or even my Bluetooth speakers or headphones to the tv If that is not listed as an option??? Keep in mind it has full connectivity or supposed to have as stated on box and paperwork for TV. I wish I could show you the photos of all the steps but I can't post them here and that is also bothersome just because you would all see what I'm telling you. Would like some help on this matter Before I pack it up and take it back to Walmart and have to deal with them giving me a hard time in taking it back and exchanging it for a Phillips 75 inch TV. I think the current software update took away the option btw ... Current software version is 15.0.4 build 5537 which updated a couple of days ago probably about 10-14 days ago.61Views1like3CommentsCannot use LG Magic remote with Roku Ultra
Hi there, I bought a Roku Ultra 4850R (says on the box), 4850X (says on the bottom of the device). I have an LG OLED 65B1 with a Magic Remote. The LG remote cannot control the Roku via CEC no matter what I tried. It only works in direct IR sight to the Roku. Troubleshooting: Restarting both devices, enabling and disablig SimpliLink (CEC) on the tv, deleted the Universal Control Settings and went through the process by selecting the automatically discovered OTT device called "Roku", manually selected OTT, searched for roku then tried manually entering the device code -> all 3 available options: 4850R, 4850X, 4850RW; manually selected Set Top Box and Roku, selected the Roku Advanced Settings -> Network permissions -> Allowed or Permissive. The HDMI cable used is the one found in the Roku Box. CEC setup doesn't work from the Roku Remote settings either -> the music doesn't stop. IR set-up works. What other options can I try?53Views1like2CommentsModel Variants for the Ultra player
Does anyone know the different between the 4850X and the 4850R? I do know that Roku uses some suffixes after the “R” or “X” to ID various distribution channels, such as RO or ROC, etc. I called tech support on two different occasions and received two different answers. One person said there was no difference, and the other went off line to research it with her team leader and came back and said the “R” variant is newer. I have two 4850s. The web (Roku online store) description said 4850R, the PO said 4850R, the outside box said 4850R, but both devices are 4850X. I just shake my head over the sloppy and lack of documentation. What a way to run a railroad !Solved30Views0likes2CommentsRoku cannot display italic font or emojis
I own a 2024 Roku Ultra and noticed for a long time that the whole OS cannot display emojis in any app. I noticed this with my Spotify and YouTube playlists, for example. And today I finally had enough of this issue, and wanted to report it. As you can see in the following photos Roku is unable to display emojis properly: My NVIDIA Shield Pro has no problem displaying emojis properly. See following photos using the Spotify app on my NVIDIA Shield Pro: < replacement for Karma in italic font) Please don’t even start asking for the unnecessary OS version and this and that. It’s irrelevant and my system is up to date. Check this on YOUR end to confirm. The same is happening with the YouTube app and any other app. Roku is unable to display italic font and emojis properly, using colors and the actual emojis. It’s possible that it also can’t display other fonts. Please FIX THIS.271Views2likes11CommentsRoku 43" select 4k TV dimensions between the feet/legs

I've tried all of the troubleshooting tips found here. My wireless speakers won't pair, only one will play the pairing message, but both are connected to power and are working. I've tried on three different Roku TV's now, none of them will pair with the speakers. Please don't give me troubleshooting tips, I have been through all of those. How can I get this fixed?5.1KViews2likes46CommentsAntenna TV Pause issues
This first problem is a recent issue, since the most recent firmware update I believe. The Instant Replay button now dumps the buffer and we cannot pause again until changing the channel. This second problem has been an ongoing issue since we got this TV. When the buffer is full, and we try to pause or rewind and play, sometimes it jumps to the beginning of the buffer and we must fast forward to the end, or worse it dumps the buffer and we cannot pause again until changing the channel. I have reformatted and replaced the USB flash device with a 16GB High Endurance, no effect. I have disabled the screensaver, no effect. I installed Amazon Video on my Roku for the first time and literally used it for under 60 seconds. Now, whenever I plug my headphones in to my remote, or try to adjust the volume whenever they’re in, it pulls up Amazon Video but it’s stuck on one frame and I can’t do anything, it’s almost like it’s a picture. I even uninstalled the app and it’s still doing it. I have tried repairing my remote and it did not fix it. It does not do this when I adjust my volume without them in.52Views1like4CommentsCC continuously disappears even though set to "on" - Roku Ultra
CC will not stay visible, regardless of app or show watched. We set it to on, then it functions correctly for only what we are currently watching, and not always the entire program. If we're watching a series, it may work for the current episode, but the next episode comes on, and it's off. If it's on and we switch to a different app or program, it's off again. In all these instances, we turn CC on again manually, plus we use voice control and instruct it to turn on, but CC does not reappear. The only way to get it to once again work is to reboot the roku. Why is this happening? It's been happening for a couple of weeks now. Previously, we never had this issue. Was there an update that caused this? When will it be fixed? We rely heavily on CC and need it to function as intended. We shouldn't have to repeatedly reboot Roku to get this necessary tool to work.53Views1like6CommentsRoku features suggestions
I think that settings for closed captions should be improved so that one can adjust the font, opacity, and size of the subtitles. Roku TVs should be updated to allow users to adjust the upscaling algorithm/settings for lower-resolution videos and OTA use. Add more Aspect Ratio settings for stretching 4:3 content to 16x9 and vice versa. The UI should be reworked to be more visually appealing and less flat-looking ADD A WEB BROWSER Add parental control settings to restrict content on TV, movies, etc. (will help parents)44Views1like3Comments
