HBO Max Not Saving Progress

Probably a Max issue, but is anyone else having issues with Max not saving viewing progress? All shows. I've deleted and reinstalled the app.

  • This has been happening to me too, I’ve tried deleting & reinstalling but it didn’t correct the issue. I’m clearing the cache & hoping that will help.

      We understand you're experiencing the same issues on HBO Max. Thanks for trying some troubleshooting steps on your own. 

      Please inform us if clearing the cache resolves the issue; if it doesn't, we suggest reaching out to the app provider, who manages the app and its features. You can reach them here.

        So far it appears to have resolved the issue hopefully it will continue to work as it should.

    Hi Roku team - it's the stand alone app. I didn't even think to try using it through the Roku channel. I'll do that and see if it makes a difference.

        I can't use Max through the Roku channel, I can't find a way to log in. I had the Max account prior to having the Roku. Am I missing how to log in to my Max account via the Roku channel?

    We understand that you're having trouble with the HBO Max app issue. When you said it is not saving the viewing progress, are you referring to the continue watching category inside the app? If so, we suggest contacting HBO Max support directly for further assistance since they manage their app and its features.

      Looks like you're still experiencing the issue. To help narrow things down, could you tell us which version of the app you're using? Is it the HBO Max on the Roku Channel, or the standalone one?

        Hi Roku team - the Max account existed prior to my having the Roku. Is there a way to sign in through the Roku channel? I only see a way to start a new subscription.

      😂 as long as you mean the Roku Suzie I’m with ya! I’m over this, the issue is on 6 different TV’s with Roku sticks in my house, it isn’t specific to our homes or TV’s.
