This has been happening to me too, I’ve tried deleting & reinstalling but it didn’t correct the issue. I’m clearing the cache & hoping that will help.

So far it appears to have resolved the issue hopefully it will continue to work as it should.

We understand that you're having trouble with the HBO Max app issue. When you said it is not saving the viewing progress, are you referring to the continue watching category inside the app? If so, we suggest contacting HBO Max support directly for further assistance since they manage their app and its features.
