    Some apps will not download

Disney+ as well as a plethora of other apps are unavailable on the Roku App Store on the device. I tried going on the Roku website to seek assistance but none was provided. when I went onto the website to download the apps manually, the download button was grey and we’re not allowing me to click it. . Please contact me if you have a solution

    No mass app delete options?!

Funny how I can log into Roku account and one of the first things on screen is “add or subscribe to apps/channels” which brings me to a scrolling screen that enables me to add unlimited amounts of apps in seconds, and each added app will automatically appear on every single connection Roku device associated with the account.. but no available option to do the same in reverse.. from what I gather, I have to go to a singular device press * on every unwanted app scroll down to delete and repeat for every single unwanted app, then repeat on every other device connected to the Roku account.. so if there is 150 unwanted apps, 8 devices, I have to repeat those steps 1200 times, and even then there is no guarantee that those apps will not be reinstalled without notification or consent.. either these issues need to be addressed, or some complaints to BBB, state A.G.s office, FCC, so on so forth.. perhaps a class action (if unwanted apps are using bandwidth to update: and people who have monthly bandwidth limits are unable to stop these unwanted apps from using their bandwidth)= I smell money

Inappropriate ads preferences not sufficient, need rating based option

Hi Roku Team, I have young children at home and am concerned about the violent/sexual content that is appearing on the home screen advertisements, especially now that clips are playing in addition to still images for the advertisements. I followed the instructions on the forums to attempt to manage advertisement preferences, by selecting, less violent, mature/sexual content, or horror, but have still had horror films/violent advertisements pop up. I understand that what is violent may be viewed as subjective, but I think most of us would agree that a three-year-old doesn’t need to be watching alien versus predator on the home screen. For concerned parents, just having a “less horror” setting is not sufficient. There needs to be a setting to limit content by rating (PG, PG-13 etc). If I can’t trust that R rated films aren’t going to be playing clips on the home screen when trying to pull up kids shows for our children then we are definitely moving on from Roku. I appreciate any steps your team can take to help create settings that will make your devices safe for families.

This is happening here too. Unplugged and waited and plugged back still just goes to the spaceship. This happens when it first comes one. Can not get to settings or anything else.

RetroMovie is back again (like CinemaBox, MovielandTV, Classico)

This morning RetroMovie was working again. Note: I did not have to do any reset or restart steps, no joining other networks and trying again ... it just started launching again WITHOUT the "ERROR! Parsing JSON feed file". None of the recommended steps did ever actually work. RetroMovie this time has (at the very least) a majority of the content in the previous iterations (it is difficult to check all the films, I'm guessing there are in excess of 1000 films available). Note also: There are still no Logins or Registration required or offered, there are still no ads or commercials, there is a working Search, a Continue Watching track (which you can add to and delete from). There is a Watch List on the menu to the left when you press the < arrow in the navigatioin wheel (<, >, up, down, Enter), which does not seem to work (I could not determine how to add anything to the Watch List). There is a Movies selection on that menu, and all that does is close the whole RetroMovie app after thinking it over. There are a great number of classic movies ... I paged thru the Recent category ... 897 of them and I saw many of my favorites. There are also categories like Most Popular, Drama, etc.. There is no App Provider Contact anywhere that I can find. If the App Provider is "pirating" content, it is a complete mystery to me as to why they would be doing so. No fees, no ads, no user data collection of any kind that I can see. Why would they risk Copyright infringement? What would be their motive? Anyway, for those taht are fans of this channel, enjoy the (free) show!

    Suggestion: aggregated live TV grid

It would be great if Roku offered a live TV grid that aggregates live channels from multiple sources (free apps like The Roku Channel and Pluto TV, and cable apps like YouTube TV and Hulu Live TV). This is the key feature that Amazon Fire TV and Google TV have over Roku. Older generations are used to the linear TV experience and this would help make Roku even more senior-friendly.

YouTube TV autoplay is not working

This may be related to the Oct 2025 update I read some other postings about, but it seems to be a different issue. On only 1 device - my ONN Roku TV - YouTube TV autoplay is not working and I've lost the bar at the top showing what channel is playing. This was working fine in September but when I came home from a 2 week trip on Oct 8, this feature was no longer working. It IS working on my Hisense Roku TV, and on my Roku Streambar. I have tried once to remove the app and reload it, that didn't help. I've tried restarting the Roku app, that didn't work. I've tried turning the whole system off at the plug - no change. I ran the Software update link last week and did get 2-3 updates but I don't know what updated, but it didn't help YouTube TV. Any other ideas? Should I try deleting and reloading the YouTube app again? It's odd that it's only wonky on the one device, none of my others.

Unable to click the "Skip" button on Ads on Paramount Plus

Anyone else paying for ad free getting promos which is annoying enough but lately there is a skip box on the lower right hand of the screen that comes on during that the only way to clear out is to restart the app? No way to click on it what so ever. Super annoying. Anyone know of a fix. Paramount plus support is useless.

    Netflix audio disappears

Hello - Would welcome any thoughts on this issue: I’m happily watching a Netflix series. When one episode in the series ends & it goes automatically to “watch next episode” the audio goes silent & I have to exit and restart to get audio back. Similar phenomenon happens sporadically with ads - when ad comes on, the audio goes out and doesn’t come back when ad is done and video reverts to program. Thanks.

Seeking solution to Closed Captioning stopped working

I have numerous Roku Ultra and Ultra LT devices that have stopped showing Closed Captioning on YouTube TV. I have tried, updating Roku Software, deleting and reinstalling YouTube TV and doing a factory reset on the devices. I can get Closed Captioning on Netflix but not YouTube TV This appears to be a Roku issue as I see may people with the same issue. When I deleted YouTubeTV off one device it actually removed it from a 2nd device while my wife was watching it! Any help in resolving it would be appreciated.
