Good sound on only some apps with Roku Ultra
I've been using my Roku Ultra for over a year and a half now with no problem; but yesterday, on only some apps, I started getting very low volume and muffled, heavy bass bad sound on some of apps (Watch TCM, Fandango at Home, etc.) but not on others (Hulu, Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max). The sound works fine on all apps if I play it through the TV speakers or using the airbuds on the Roku remote, but not when played through my amp and surround speakers, which used to be no problem. I tried my Amazon Fire Stick and there is no problem there. I went through several hours with Roku support online, but there has been no resolution. They had me completely re-initialize my Roku Ultra, but that didn't solve the problem. Anyone have any suggestions? I've looked through other postings and saw that people have had no sound on any apps after having no problems for years with their Roku, but not anyone who had this problem on only some apps. Thanks! Murdock mysteries on Roku Channel is syncing to some other series or storyline. We tried to watch it on a Roku TV and a TV with roku stick. I am hard of hearing and rely on CC. I'm also really addicted to this series. This phenomenon just happened in the last couple of days. I've followed the reset instructions given from this board, and nothing changes. To be clear, I HAVE captions turned on in the Peacock app AND in the Roku settings. They are always turned on but they never show up no matter what I watch. I try turning them off and turning them back on, doesnt work. I leave the app and restart it, doesnt work. I try updating the app, doesnt work. It used to be that the captions would be on there like every other episode but they are just not on there at all anymore. They work just fine on my phone and my laptop but not my Hisense roku. I was wanting to ask Roku a couple of questions and could not unless I asked it on a community platform where I could everyone’ concerns, this is not a smart move Roku, you are advertising all the things that are not a great with your Smart TV” Due to not being able to ask issues privately, and having this being a community questionnaire, why would you ask someone to leave all their personal information here? And because they answered, feeling they wouldn’t receive a resolution because of the lack of Roku’ options, you literally just supplied the world with this individual’s private home data for hackers, ouch! Just a suggestion. When viewing a certain category, the Roku Channel Store doesn't load all channels at once, especially when viewing on a mobile device. You should really load all channels at once when viewing a certain category. Again, just a thought. Thanks!25Views0likes1Comment
