How to sync Roku remote without pairing button
I just purchased a replacement remote. As I went to pair the new remote to my Roku device, I noticed that there is no pairing button. It is the basic standard remote (nothing fancy). I researched how to pair the remote without the pairing button, and the only instruction that I found was to unplug the Roku stick, wait until the Roku screen appears on the tv, and then put new batteries into the remote and point at the Roku device. I have tried multiple times and have not had any success with this process. The old remote works, but need to be replace due to the down button not working at times.Solved624KViews10likes46CommentsRemote pairing with out a pairing button

Remote doesn't work, its all charged up so that's not problem. TV stuck on Roku home screen and won't respond to any buttons on remote. After 5 min. it goes to the Roku Screensaver City & Ocean & Buildings thingy. And then I'm stuck for good. I've unplugged everything. Every cable, cord, over and over.Solved169KViews1like14CommentsProblem with Roku Remote not working properly
This is my 2nd Roku remote. It's a Voice remote. The new remote is not even a year old yet. The navigation buttons work when ever they feel like it, some times there is a second or two delay. They it doesn't work, if I wait a bit it works, then it stops again. The volume will go up when I press the button, but a lot of times it won't go down. Now sometimes while I change the channel, set the remote down, and start to walk away, it goes back to the home screen with no one touching it. I live alone, so there is no one messing with it. I changed the batteries, 3 times, 3 different new sets right out of the package. I went to your home page, looked up how to restart the device. I reset it. Still the remote is messing up. So now I look up how to pair or re-pair the remote. I unplug the device, wait 10 seconds or more, plug it back in, when the home screen shows up, I press the pairing button until it slowly flashes, then it stops for a second or three, then starts flashing faster, and I release it, as instructed. The I press it again for 5 seconds, until it flashes again, and then wait for 30 seconds, for it to connect... it says a pairing dialog should appear on my screen, but it never does.... (I have done the pairing 5 times now.) Don't understand why a remote doesn't last even an entire year. I am female, over 65, live by myself, so I am not heavy handed, and no one else is messing around with the remote. Any ideas? Any help would be appreciated. Thank You.Solved152KViews4likes3CommentsRemote skips or jumps over multiple channels
My remote started to misbehave. The channel selection does not work. For a single button press, the cursor jumps or skips over 2 to 3 channels. This makes selecting what to watch impossible. Tried new batteries. Tried to reboot. Why is the Roku behaving in a manner that makes it unusable? How to fix this?146KViews26likes14Comments
