How to sync Roku remote without pairing button
I just purchased a replacement remote. As I went to pair the new remote to my Roku device, I noticed that there is no pairing button. It is the basic standard remote (nothing fancy). I researched how to pair the remote without the pairing button, and the only instruction that I found was to unplug the Roku stick, wait until the Roku screen appears on the tv, and then put new batteries into the remote and point at the Roku device. I have tried multiple times and have not had any success with this process. The old remote works, but need to be replace due to the down button not working at times.Solved612KViews10likes46CommentsVoice Remote Will Not Pair
My Roku Voice Remote will not pair to my Roku TCL TV. I have tried every trouble shooting step previously posted including of course removing the batteries and unplugging my TV (tried this countless times for an hour), holding down the pairing button for at least 20 seconds while pointing at the TV, going into the system settings and having my TV search for the remote (is never found), changing my WiFi network settings, ensuring my system OS is updated, and replacing the (already new) batteries. Here’s what happens when I put batteries in the remote: The green pairing light immediately starts to flash. I point the remote at the tv. I wait 2+ minutes until it stops. Or try to have the TV search for the remote at the same time. That’s it. The remote pairing dialogue never appears. This is NOT a cinch, it’s the most frustrating experience I’ve ever had with a modern piece of technology. I’ve had roku products for a decade and I’ve never had an issue like this before. Is there anything else I can try? Otherwise I am returning this remote as I believe it must be faulty.3.6KViews0likes16CommentsRemote not pairing - always blinking
I have two Roku sticks with remotes that have stopped pairing. I have changed the batteries, and moved to a different Wi-Fi area. I have follow the instructions on disconnecting the power from the stick, removing the batteries from the remote, then booting the stick back up, waiting until the home screen is active, then putting the batteries back in the remote. Each time, the green light on the remote on the inside of the battery compartment continues to blink Green whether or not I push the button. This is on two sticks and remotes. Any idea what to try next? With no customer support I am hesitant to go out and buy another one. I have even wiped one stick clean and tried to start from scratch but neither remote will pair with it. Help!!!19KViews0likes85CommentsStreaming stick won't pair with remote
My remote will not pair with the streaming stick (3500). I have changed the batteries, plugged and unplugged the stick multiple times; reset it multiple times. Each time, I arrive at the window "pair your remote"; I hold the pairing button down for 3+ seconds, as asked; the light on the remote flashes, but no connection is established. Any advice will be most appreciated.Solved22KViews0likes35CommentsRemote won't pair with device
I've got a Roku streaming stick+ (model 3810X) that won't pair with its remote. I am powering the device via an external USB power source (not through my TV's USB port). I turn the device and TV on. During the purple boot sequence, I insert batteries into the remote. The remote's green LED immediately begins blinking--even before I press the tiny button on the back. However, the remote and stick do not pair. In fact, the stick completes booting and prompts me to "pair my remote" by removing the cover and pressing the black button.4.3KViews0likes15CommentsWhy is my remote no longer pairing to my TV?
I recently moved a Roku Ultra which was working fine in one room to another TV in another room (let's call the old Room 'A', and the new room 'B'). After doing the associated setup in room B, the Ultra is working just fine, with its remote. I had a Streaming Stick+ in room B connected to a TV there which was working just fine. Took it to Room A, and its remote will no longer pair. Couple of observations: 1. The stick just continuously double-flashes - what is that signalling? 2. As soon as batteries are put in the remote, the pairing light begins flashing (no pairing button press required). Instructions regarding pairing always seem to call out having to press the button - is my remote operating correctly? 3. If I disconnect and then reconnect the HDMI cable to the TV, I get the bouncing "Roku" and then I end up at a screen showing three images of a remote with its cover off. The middle image shows the pairing light OFF, and an a clock (?) reading ":03". Have no idea what it's trying to tell me, but it really doesn't matter - no matter what I do, or what order I do it, that's as far as I ever get. The only sign of life at that point is the double-flashing of the power (?) light on the stick. Note that this is the same stick and remote that was working just fine originally in room B. 4. I am getting the same results with another remote I happened to have handy. 5. I have reset router for house, to no avail. I'm guessing it may be having problem getting connected, but I know way to control which SSID it may be trying to use. Beyond that, I haven't a clue as to what to do next. The batteries in my remote died, so I switched to brand new batteries. The remote will not pair. I did all of the things suggested (took out batteries, unplugged roku, put batteries back in and held the sync button…etc). The green light never comes on. I’ve done all possible restarts multiple times. This is a new set up as this is the first time I’ve had to replace the batteries so I feel like this shouldn’t be an issue. I have my old remote and when I go to settings and remotes it says my remote is asleep, but nothing I do “wakes it up”. This is very annoying because I could just use my old remote but then I also need my tv remote for power and volume. It’s just a hassle.4.9KViews0likes23CommentsCan I pair two remotes to the same Streaming Stick? I have an extra, identical one to use.
I think I tried this before, and either one would be paired, or the other. But both would not be paired to the same Stick. I'd like feedback from someone who has done this, as I don't want to go through the process to end up with a pairing issue, which is what I believe was the result last time I tried this, and it was rather difficult to get either one to work after that.Solved32KViews2likes5CommentsRemote died and will not pair
My remote randomly died. I’ve been using the smartphone app but then I needed to do a factory reset on my #Roku Premiere+ (4630 series) to link it to my Roku account. Now I can’t use my Roku because the remote is dead (it has new batteries and the pairing button doesn’t work). I don’t know who to contact to get the remote replaced (it died young).Solved3.3KViews0likes2Comments
