Roku iPhone app stuck on loadscreen
I’ve been using the Roku mobile app as a remote from my iPhone. But now it won’t work, the mobile app itself just gets stuck on the load screen forever. I’ve deleted and reinstalled multiple times for varying lengths of time, and it still doesn’t work.Solved13KViews14likes71CommentsFix for mobile app login failure
I found a way to get the login failure fixed. You need to uninstall whatever version you have and then find, download, and then side load this version of the Roku app 9.1.0.1762787. Problem solved. Also before the uninstall I deleted app data and cache to be safe. So you guys at Roku need to see what you did to all versions after that one which keeps people from logging in and getting the message: does not match our records. Now I did have version 9.10.3.2893611 which was the latest as of this writing, Also I did not update after the old version install for fear of it happening again. So do please fix the newer versions soon to keep everyone updated. BTW this is for Android only.Solved12KViews8likes32CommentsRoku iOS app causing an excessive battery drain
Used Roku iOS app on my iphone 12 and noticed in a 1 hour period and noticed my iphone was extremely warm when I picked it up. Checked battery stats and noticed Roku app was at 84% utilization in relation to other apps. iOS is 16.4.1 (updated one day ago) and I update my apps on a daily basis so the Roku app would be at the current level. I connect to 5 devices in total with that app. In settings, I allow local network access (obviously have to do that for it to work), Siri and Notifications are off, Background App Refressh is off, and I always keep Cellular Data off. Is anyone else noticing these issue6.9KViews7likes51CommentsRoku app unable to find device
Evidently there is no solution the app not finding devicest. I previously had no problems with the app. All 5 of my devices were seen and controlled by the app. Now it's updated and the new app can find none of them. Yes, same network, blah, blah, blah. Left me with no usable app.Solved4.9KViews6likes31CommentsRemote app doesn’t work anymore
App suddenly doesn’t connect anymore and tells me my device can’t be found. Sure, so I go Ahead and check my WiFi connected devices and yet their Roku is listed. Restarts phone. Restarts Roku. Restarts tv. Nothing works anymore. It just keeps saying there’s no connected devices and my device doesn’t exist. Worked fine for over a year with no issues, what the fck? I should be able to use the tv and stick I pay For!18KViews5likes22CommentsRoku TV Missing from Mobile App
I have 5 Roku devices. In the app on my phone, there are only 4 devices listed in my account. The missing device is a Roku TV. All 5 devices are listed under one email address. I have performed a factory reset on the missing device and set it up again with the same email address. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app on my phone. I only have one network and one email address. The television does show up in available devices. When I touch the three dots to edit device details, I am prompted to sign in. When I sign in, I am directed to sign in using the registered account. UGH! I only have one account. Yes, if I go to System, About, on the television, it shows my correct email address. All I want to do here is have Google turn my device off and on. Google can't find the device because it isn't listed on my account. FYI, it use to be. One day it just disappeared. Please help a girl out!1.1KViews5likes50CommentsAds on the remote app now?
I got on the app to access the remote and on the continue watching screen I see an ad for Taco Bell. I’ve never seen an ad before and this feels cheap and annoying. We are already subjected to enough ads on the streaming side, now we have to look at this bull on the access side of it?2.1KViews4likes6CommentsRoku app doesn't launch on rooted phones
I know it's on purpose as it's called out in the FAQ on the site, and I'm here to register my opinion that this is stupid. Your app is not the nuclear launch codes, it is my TV remote. I will run it on whatever device I see fit. I'd appreciate if you'd make it easier for me to do that but be aware that i'm going to do it either way.Solved1.6KViews4likes2CommentsRoku app for iPad hasn’t worked since last update
The Roku app for iPad stopped recognizing my Roku TV after the last update. I tried deleting the app the reinstall it from the App Store. It won’t load. All I get is the ROKU name and a buffering circle. Roku support has been no help at all.4.3KViews4likes71Comments
