Paramount+ Flashing Black Screen Fix
When watching shows on the Paramount+ app, I would continually get a flashing black screen while the audio kept working. The way I fixed it was by continuously clearing the ‘Continue Watching’ on the Roku Home Screen every time before I started up the Paramount+ app. I think this was introduced when that update was rolled outSolved6.8KViews0likes19CommentsCJ ENM Channel on Live TV pixelated contents
For some reason, this channel's stream is all pixelated and unclear. Other channels are OK, is there any way to contact them, and why don't they know this is happening? It's not just on my Roku TV, but also on my computer, so it's not a device issue, but something to do with their stream. If someone from Roku can contact them, that would be very helpful.Solved767Views1like11CommentsCaptions out of sync on particular movie
I’m watching “Dead of Night” ca. 1945 on BFI Player for Roku, and the captions are so far out of sync they are useless. They’re off at least two to three sentences, for lack of a better measurement. i need captions when watching television, and I watch a lot of BFI. I’ve not had this problem with any other selection. edited to add: I did see on some of the other posts regarding captioning issues, a recommendation to restart the Roku to fix the problem. I did try that multiple times, and it did not fix the syncing error. Thank you for your help.179Views0likes1CommentRoku TV Psychedelic colors on streaming apps
This happened to me too last couple days. I have a Roku tv and updated the system to no avail. I can watch Young Sheldon on Max, but not anything on Paramount Plus or Disney. The previews look normal and when I try and watch the show - the actual show is psychedelic looking. But fast forward and rewind previews look normal. I thought i was losing my mind.Solved891Views0likes5CommentsNetflix app freezes when playing video
The video only plays for 3 seconds and stops. If I click play it starts playing again for 3 seconds and stops again. I do not have issues with any other app on the Roku. Only Netflix. I followed these instructions, but didn't help. Uninstalled the netflix channel Cleared cache and data - network connection reset Restarted the Roku device Checked internet connection and it was good. Re-installed the Netflix channel Checked Roku updates and there not any. I have Roku model: 4660X - Roku Ultra software version: 14.1 Device ID: CK48A5159355 any help would be appreciated. Tested and the same issue is happening. Any suggestions?544Views0likes2CommentsA movie does not show up within the Roku search tool but available on several channels
Stripped: Las Vegas and Stripped: Los Angeles are available on Tubi, Amazon, AppleTV, etc. But the Stripped: Las Vegas title does not show up on search results within the Roku search feature. Why does one show up and the other does not when both titles re available on many AVOD and TVOD channels? file:///Users/marcostrick/Pictures/Photos%20Library.photoslibrary/resources/derivatives/D/D8578813-99DB-4BD3-9537-821CF7FB2A18_1_105_c.jpeg file:///Users/marcostrick/Pictures/Photos%20Library.photoslibrary/originals/2/25DFB300-4FB7-45DF-83B4-F83BA176A68F.jpeg441Views0likes1CommentCertain scenes bad quality 4k stick
Recently got a new 4K stick for my 4K tv. Convinced my fiancé to watch the walking dead on Netflix. I’ve noticed that during specific scenes, the quality drops dramatically. It’s strange because it will snap back to normal as soon as the camera cuts to the next scene, and if it’s a dialog scene, if it cuts back to the person where the quality was bad, it will revert back to being poor quality. I also notice it a lot during foggy/smokey scenes, almost like there is something wrong with the compression during certain scenes. And going back to scenes where I remember it being lower quality, the same exact scenes are this lower quality. What’s even stranger, is that this only happens on the 4K stick, I have a Roku stream bar and older box Roku and have 0 issues on those, which leads me to believe it’s an issue with the stick and not Netflix. ive tried every troubleshooting method there is, including: powering on/off my router, modem, and the Roku. adjusting the display settings on the stick(have tried every option) Trying different hdmi port, trying a different TV. I know it’s not a connection issue, as I have my router right next to the device and don’t have any issues on any of my other devices Adjusting my Netflix display/playback settings. Watching on a different Netflix user. changing power source from tv, to outlet deleting/reinstalling Netflix on device It seems to be just for this show, don’t have any issues with any other shows or channels at this time, and it doesn’t happen all the time, just enough to drive me insane, I’m tempted to just buy a different device but would love to avoid that. I’m also aware of the graininess of the walking dead since it was shot on 16mm film so I know the difference between poor compression and how the show is supposed to look. Not sure if this would be a Netflix issue or not, I wanted to start here as I only have issues on this specific device. Hoping someone has experienced this before and has a fixSolved1.3KViews0likes2CommentsThe Roku Channel Nurse Jackie
So I've been watching Nurse Jackie, as The Roku Channel says that it's scheduled to leave "soon". I'm on season 5 episode 9 and it's coming in with purple/red/green rectangles randomly, the audio is broken and static-y, there's misplaced rows of video, that kind of thing. Tried turning TV off and on. Previous episodes all worked fine, next episode appears to be fine. Seems to be just that single episode out of all of them so far. Which sucks. EDIT: ⅓ way into season 6, and still that's the only episode that's messed up.2.2KViews0likes5CommentsThe Roku Channel won't pass 99% loading.
Every time I go into the Roku Channel, and want to look through some of the movies offered, I'll play the trailer for one, no problem. Sometimes another one, maybe two, will play, but usually it only takes playing one, before no other trailers will load! Not only that, but even when I try to play the movie, nothing happens! Well, nothing but that 99% within the arrow going in circles! That's all, no trailer, no movie, just the 99% & endlessly circling arrow! I usually have to do a system restart, and sometimes will also reset my wifi connection, and then it will work. But even when I do that, I still will only be able to play one trailer, and then no others will work! This is really getting old, and is incredibly frustrating, what the heck is going on, why can't features just work as they're supposed to? Plus, sometimes, even the Roku live channels won't work, I click on a channel, and the description shows at the bottom, but no picture, no sound, nothing at all! This is really maddening... how can this be so dysfunctional?Solved1.4KViews0likes4Comments
