Paramount Plus audio and video is out of sync on my Roku device
CBS Live on Paramount Plus has audio/video sync issues. The longer you watch the worse it becomes. Only happens on CBS Live. Have unplugged the ROKU power supply and the router power supply. No help. Hope someone has a solution. No other app is affected; Netflix, Amazon, Sling, IMDB. Contacted customer support. Found out what most all have found out. They are useless. Hello, this might be an old subject, but I had to write. I have a 3-month-old Roku brand TV. It was working perfectly until 7–10 days ago. Now it's lagging & buffering. Apps will buffer, and when I use the live & Roku TV option, the channel will say what's on, but I have to wait 5–10 seconds more for the picture to show up. Now I tried everything from resets to secret menus, resetting my wireless, checking my wireless connection. Everything mentioned in tips & tricks from the Roku site to YouTube. Nothing worked. Today, I asked my downstairs neighbor who has an older Roku stick, and he said he's having the exact same problem, so I'm not crazy. Some recent Roku update must be the culprit, and I'd like to know first if they even know about it, and second, when they plan on fixing this? Within the second day of installing the Roku soundbar we started getting the HDCP Error message. I followed the instructions to properly install the soundbar. I used all the cables that came with the soundbar. I followed the steps to fix the issue, but only seems to be a temporary fix, because the error message will return a few days later. I just recently changed the HDMI cable to one that I previously had. Seemed to be working fine and then the error message came up again. This never happened with any of our previous Roku devices, which were Roku Premier devices. Is anybody experiencing this issue with their Soundbar. I am on the verge of returning it. When watching shows on the Paramount+ app, I would continually get a flashing black screen while the audio kept working. Roku soundbar purchased in late November. After using successfully for about two weeks, I started having several different issues with the soundbar - which I am also using to stream in addition to sound. The soundbar will often distort the screen and there is nothing to do but unplug for many hours and then try again. I also perform a system restart daily to try to avoid but it only works for a day or two. In addition, it will freeze the screen a lot during watching. When I switch to my Roku TV to stream I do not have this freezing issue. My wifi performs well, it isn't the issue. I've tried many different HDMI cables so that isn't the issue either. I also had the roku wireless speakers but they drop the connection so much I've decided to scrap them. I have tried to contact support directly but the submission form doesn't actually allow submission. Completely fed up and dissatisfied with roku tvs. I've had to get 3 different tvs within a year because for whatever reason the screen magically goes black and can't fix itself. Defiance TV Show Season 3 Episode 1 is posted in 2 parts on the Roku Channel. Is Roku aware they posted part 2 as part 1? They put part 1 as 43 mins and posted it as part 2, and they put part 2 as 1hr 20 mins and posted it as part 1. I just got a new roku ultra 4800x and setup with hdcp 2.2 connection at 4k 60hz and it plays ALL other apps such as netflix, amazon prime, vudu and others in 4k except for Disney plus. Best I get with disney is HD I found some articles from 4+ months ago about it not working. Is this something that is being fixed? Roku and disney just point their fingers at each other. This was the only reason I bought the roku was to get disney in 4k as i already had access to the other apps through other devices. Roku support wants me to talk to disney, disney points me back to roku support. My brand new Roku 65" class Pro Series 4K TV has been working well for its 1st month. Today I noticed the issue with the colors when playing Mission: Impossible 5 - Rogue Nation (UHD, HDR) on the Amazon Prime app. When starting playing the movie, I see HDR10+ Adaptive notification on top right. The initial green field is somewhat yellow and the “white” (beige) skin tones are orange to red. I played the trailer on the on the YouTube app and it works finely. Other UHD movies – e.g. Red One, or even M.I. Dead Reckoning also have no problem. Same movie on Amazon Prime plays well on the iPad and on my previous TCL Roku TV 65”. A curious thing is that on M.I. 5 when pausing the movie, the little thumbnail to select the scene shows the proper colors, so the issue only happens on the movie itself. It seems related to the metadata on the header of the file like someone suggested on this thread https://community.roku.com/t5/Solving-playback-issues/Update-making-colors-appear-too-red-too-rich/td-p/852309 , although this is something that I can’t check since it’s on the Amazon Prime app. Tried the following troubleshooting steps from other threads and no success: 1. Adjust colors & other settings on the * (star) button menu when playing the movie– I can make it better, but it’s still bad 2. Unplug TV, count 2min, power it on 3. Check for Software Update on Settings > System; latest 14.0.4, build 12225 4. Update Amazon Prime app: latest 15.3, build 2024111414 5. Delete and reinstall Amazon Prime app 6. For me it's happening with DirecTV Streaming. But it only happens on the Roku stick. I can do DirecTV streaming on my smart tv without the glitching, but the quality is not as good which is the reason I got the stick to start with. I did reset the Roku stick, but that didn't help. It is not consistent, but happens often. Sometimes pausing or rewinding a bit helps, but not always. And sometimes switching channels and then back to the original channel helps. It didn't happen at all when I first got the stick. Since I purchased through Amazon and it's been less than 30 days I'm going to return the stick for a replacement. If it happens with the new stick within the 30 day window I'll just return it and get a fire stick instead. I prefer the Roku stick though because it has more memory and I've read online that DirecTV streaming is a memory hog and that's why the quality is so bad on my smart tv app version. The quality on the Roku stick is amazing, but the constant glitching makes it unusable.2.3KViews0likes6Comments
