Screen Mirroring stopped working
Roku, Is there any updates to fixing the screen mirroring problem that many users face? I have done a lot of searching in hopeless attempts to find a solution to why our Hisense Roku TV will not screen mirror anymore. My wife and I both have Samsung S20 phones that we stream the iFit treadmill app to our Hisense TV in our little workout room. It has worked with no issues until just a little while ago. Now after reading all the troubleshooting tips, restarting the TV, resetting the TV, nothing works. Every so often it will show up under the Smart View but once you click on the TV, it will sit there trying to connect, time out and then gives the tip of holding the remote power button to restart the tv or unplug it and plug it back in. This does not work. Going through all the tips of the stuff listed below does not work either. *********Thanks for posting here in the Roku Community for help today! We appreciate you informing us about this concern you've encountered with screen mirroring not connecting, We would be more than glad to assist, and you can follow these steps provided below to resolve the issue. Kindly verify screen mirroring of Roku is configured or working properly: Settings/System/Screen mirroring/Screen mirroring mode=Prompt Settings/System/Screen mirroring/Screen mirroring devices/Always blocked=none Settings/System/Advanced system settings/Device connect=Enabled Settings/System/Advanced system settings/Control by mobile devices=Default Always select "Always allow" when prompted by the Roku Test with (another) Android/Windows Miracast-capable device One additional step you can do after performing all these steps is to restart your Roku device by navigating to Settings > System > System Restart. Please keep us posted on how it works. All the best, Kash **************************************** So what is the solution? The software version is 12.0.0, Build is 4193-90. I only have 5.0GHZ wifi( not sure if it requires 2.4GHZ or not). Device connect is enabled. Control by Mobile Apps is set to default. Screen Mirroring mode is Prompt ( also does not work if set to always allow). Screen mirroring devices is now empty since I reset the TV using Factory Reset. Also, I have tried using my laptop with Windows 11 just to see if that would find the TV and it will not. So what is the solution? If we can develop AI and electric cars and whatever other highly technical technology, why is it so hard to develop a patch or a new update to fix a simple thing as Screen Mirroring? Please let me know what else I can do and please do not send me a link of How to connect your Android device to a Roku TV or Streaming Stick. I have already done much searching before even writing this post therefore I have tried all of these things. I and a whole lot of other users would like a good solution which will most likely come from some folks fixing the programming and sending out an update. Thank you for your time.Solved57KViews7likes74Comments"Continue watching" shows things I'm not watching.
So every week or so my Roku app selects random shows from Netflix for me to "keep watching." I haven't found a solution that permanently takes care of the problem. Some important things to note here. I live alone, and there is only one device I use to watch shows. I am also home most of the time, as I'm physically disabled, so the chances of someone else using my account are very slim. I do not share my Roku login with anyone, I have tried factory resets and logged myself out of all other devices multiple times, and even changed the email and password on my account. This has not fixed the issue. I do not have a Netflix subscription and I haven't for months. I have never heard of nor watched any of the shows in question. When I remove them from the "continue watching" section they immediately reappear. The shows frequently change as if someone actually is watching them. The continue watching section never shows options from apps I actually watch shows on, like Hulu or Apple TV. It only shows shows I have never watched on a single service that I don't have. At this point I'm not sure how to stop this from happening and responses I've seen to people having similar issues have been extremely unhelpful. I would greatly appreciate someone actually reading this post and responding to the problem I have instead of linking me a help article I've already read dozens of times trying to fix it. It's kind of freaking me out at this point.1.7KViews5likes43CommentsRoku TV feedback

About a year ago I purchased a 42” Philips Roku tv from Sams Club. I set it up and paired it with Alexa and it worked but was a novelty as I was on a Direct TV dish. I am now turning Direct TV off in favor of a streaming service but discovered that the TV has lost the ability to pair with Alexa. About 3 months ago ATT came out and upgraded the router. Everything was the same and all appeared to work as it did but I did not check to see if the TV was still paired with Alexa. To date I have removed the TV from the Roku account. Removed the skill from the Alexa app. Reset the TV to out of box. Set the TV back up. Checked that the TV was back in the Roku account. Installed the Roku skill in the Alexa app. Then scanned for new devices but found none. I also went in and forced the router to have a different SSID for the 2.4G and the 5G bands. The TV is using the 2.4G band same as the Echo show. What am I missing?Solved379Views3likes14CommentsError 009 on one Roku device
As the title states im getting the error code 009 but all my other devices are connected fine to the same router. It’s clearly an issue with the tcl roku tv. I would love a solution because it’s happened before and factory reset didn’t work, network reset didn’t work. Leaving it unplugged for a length of time didn’t work. Many of the other post suggest contacting your ISP, which seems pointless because I have phone,Amazon devices and laptops that all connect just fine to the router and have Internet. It is clearly an issue with the TV.215Views3likes5CommentsRoku TV screen appears too dim even on “Brighter” setting
Hi, I’m experiencing a display issue with my Roku TV. When I turn it on, the screen is not black, but the image appears very dim and hard to see properly. It’s like the brightness is low, but I’ve already set it to the “Brighter” option in the settings. The TV works fine otherwise—apps open, sound is working, and I can see the menus—but the screen remains darker than normal and it’s difficult to view content comfortably. Has anyone had a similar issue or know how to fix it? Thanks!454Views3likes13CommentsHeadphones in control not TV speakers

My onn roku tv restarted randomly yesterday and is not stuck in a loop of selecting a language and a wifi. I saw a year old thread with the same issue but the solution was a firmware update that happened before I even got this tv. None of yhe solutions present in that thread work.106Views2likes4Comments
