    Roku Enhanced Remote no longer controls Sceptre tv volume and power

    My Roku remote always controlled the volume and power on my Sceptre tv, but a few days ago it just stopped. I've tried reprogramming the remote in setup and none of the codes stop the music from playing, and setup says it won't work with this Sceptre tv. I've tried a handful of different brands hoping one of their codes would work and still nothing. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance

    Roku iPhone app stuck on loadscreen

    I’ve been using the Roku mobile app as a remote from my iPhone. But now it won’t work, the mobile app itself just gets stuck on the load screen forever. I’ve deleted and reinstalled multiple times for varying lengths of time, and it still doesn’t work.

    Problems connecting the Roku device/tv to a mobile app.

    I can’t connect to any app anymore. I have two devices. One is a Roku TV and another is a Roku portable usb device. I was able to connect the Roku app on both devices. Also a “mirror app” that I use to watch movies from my phone. Suddenly I am not able able to connect to any of these anymore. It doesn’t find any Roku devices on same network. I had to reconnect my wireless one day (I don’t know why it got disconnected, but after this happened, It is like they are not on same network anymore, but they are) anyone have an idea what can it be? I am able to AirPlay, but the apps doesn’t find any Roku devices. I tried to connect manually but that also doesn’t work. I don’t know what it is since nothing has changed aside reconnecting the wireless on both tvs. Going to reinforce they ARE on same wireless account. I did reset everything already. That’s not the problem.

    Roku Soundbar pair with xfinity xr-15 remote

    Hey guys! I have a projector and connected to it is an HDMI 5 port switch. I have 5 devices plugged in as inputs. I also have an optical cord plugged in to output the audio of the device that’s selected on the switch. This optical runs to my roku soundbar. Works perfectly. Now I just need to program this xfinity XR-15 to manipulate the volume levels. Anyone know of any code I can use?     AGAIN Roku app cannot find IP address of Roku Express

    UPDATE TO ORIGINAL POST: I thought I had found a solution to this problem by turning off the privacy settings on my iPhone WiFi settings. This stopped working pretty quickly. Then the app started working randomly again for a few days, without having to change any iOS settings! Unfortunately, the situation has now reverted to not being able to connect. I have confirmed that the app works with Roku’s at other houses. My internet provider says the issue is not theirs. Does Roku have a solution yet? My roommates and I have been using the Roku app as a remote for our Roku Express specifically because of the ability to play audio through headphones and not disturb each other. It was working for months, but in the past few weeks the app would randomly drop the connection then have to reconnect. Today, the app could not connect to the device at all. I have restarted the app and the device, checked the WiFi setting, and even factory reset the device. The phone and the device are linked to the same WiFi, the IP addresses are both 192.168.1.XX. No VPNs are involved. The connection on the Roku device says it is excellent. When I try to connect manually with the IP address, the app says there is no device found there. I am inputting the correct address, as I am copying it directly from the “About” section from my TV screen. Control by mobile apps on the device is set to default. The WiFi is Spectrum. We only have one network available, and we cannot even access the Access Point settings. The phones have local network access enabled for the app. We have tried with multiple phones, all iPhones running the latest iOS, so we believe it is a problem with our device or the app, not the phones. We have gone through every step given by Roku’s troubleshooting guide, and nothing has changed.

    Roku app does not have a mic button for voice search/controls

    Hey, I have roku express 3930EU. Roku website says that I can use Roku app for Android for remote functionality and it includes voice search/controls. However, the app does not seem to have a mic button Here's a screenshot: https://ibb.co/wsPcnkj I'm using Android app. My phone is Samsung S21. What might be the issue and how can I fix it?     Ever since the last update, private listening stopped working.

    I have used private listening on my roku devices (Roku Express 4K 3940RW, and Hisense TV G211X) just fine for a long time now. I have never once had an issue with it, and love it so much. After the last app update, it no longer works at all. There is either no audio, or the audio keeps playing from the TV, and it keeps going from saying private listening on, then turning it off again. Here are the things I have tried: I made sure my volume was up Turned devices on and off again, and unplugged and plugged them Turn my phone (android) on and off again Cleared app cache Cleared the app data Force closed and re opened the app Tried different wired headphones Tried switching from wired to blutooth headphones Checked for updates on the rokus Checked if my phone was missing any permissions Made sure to turn on nearby share, location, and blutooth Double checked my app was up to date. Uninstalled and reinstalled the app Looked up any help topics that might be relevant I still can't get it to work. Does anyone have any other suggestions? As far as I can tell, the last update just broke the feature. I miss watching TV while my wife is asleep.

    Can I Use Remote Control RC580 (Voice Control) with TCL Roku 5 Series TV's?

    Currently I have a 3 year old 55" HiSense Roku TV. This TV has a Roku voice control remote. I'm considering purchasing a 75" TCL 75S555 TV. This TV's remote does not have voice control. I believe the non-voice remote is model RC280; the voice remote is RC580. If I buy the TCL 75S555 TV and also purchase a new Roku voice remote, RC580, will this voice remote work with the 75S555 TV?

    Request for Roku to not exit the app when pressing Play

    Please, I'm so fed up with coming back to my RokuTV after pausing it, hitting Play/Pause on the remote to resume play, and instead, without any prompt to confirm that I actually want to exit my program, the app I'm using is forced close and I'm dumped on the home screen and asked to enter my pin to add some channel I don't want to add. Why does Play/Pause function as the Pause button when I'm watching TV, but as the "click ad" button when my TV is paused, while the OK is button is normally the "click something" button but when I'm on pause becomes the Play button? Why can't Play/Pause just always be Play/Pause and use the OK button to click on screensaver ads? Also, why do I get a timed prompt to cancel if I click the Netflix button on my remote, or use a voice command to request a different app, but clicking on an ad while my TV is paused can eject me from my current app with no confirmation required? The unintuitive reversal of expected button functions wouldn't be nearly so bad if I could at least cancel these accidentally ad clicks before it closes the app I was using. Please, please, I am begging you to do something about this. Make the Play/Pause button only Play and Pause.

    No remote/ disconnected for unknown reason?

    I have 2 Roku devices. One in my bedroom, one in the living room. I used my bedroom roku this morning and when I came back from work, it stopped working. My app lists it under ‘previously used devices.’ I’ve done what I’ve read in similar questions. I’ve unplugged it. I’ve checked the wifi( I know this is fine because my Roku in the living room is discoverable and still working.) I can’t hold the reset button on the device because I lost the physical remote and have been using my remote. is there anything else I can try? Thank you!! (Roku stick)
