using Roku app on LG TV, will I get the channel guide?
Hello Roku community i’m looking to get an LG TV as I’m very impressed with the quality i have the Roku streaming device on some bedroom tv’s and use the live tv channel guide a lot. I know the channel guide is not available on the web interface or iOS apps, but does anybody know whether the channel guide is in the LG version of the Roku app. are there other concerns about using the Roku app on an LG TV thanks in advance, I’m a bit of a Roku newbie simonSolved37KViews0likes11Comments
Roku Channel Won't Play Anything At All
I launch Roku Channel. I choose a movie, ANY movie. Movie synopsis displays. I choose play. Movie synopsis refreshes and movie does not play. I also have a Roku/Starz subscription. Same thing. Synopsis page just refreshes when I choose play. This happens for EVERY movie on Roku. So at this point NOTHING will play. I have checked for Roku update. System is up to date. Roku signed me off my Hulu app now when i log in i get a message saying try again later? this happened before and im waiting for a response to get this error fixed. Roku is known for having issues but also solving them. hopefully this is resolved soon.Solved9.7KViews0likes4Comments
Channel numbers not showing up Roku tv
My channel numbers are not showing up on my roku tv. I just noticed this. Will they be brought back or is this permanent .I turned off my set and turned back on and went menu and clicked on live tv, but it's still not showing channel numbers, any suggestions? Danny V.Solved8KViews0likes9Comments
My Netflix suddenly stopped working/performing
Not sure if this is related, but the other day late at night a RUM micro site app appeared on my Home Screen. It was where my Netflix app is usually displayed on my Home Screen (first). I went to options and removed it. I can’t recall if I actually clicked on the app or not. The next morning, and continuing since then, Netflix won’t work on my Roku. The RUM app is no longer there, but Netflix just won’t work. When clicking on Netflix I either get a black page, or with patience my queue comes on but only one preview displays on the Home Screen… nothing else appears, there are no images; it’s just black and gray and the title of the category/row. As you keep scrolling down, it’s the same thing over and over. But oddly, when clicking on a movie (hitting enter on remote) whatever I selected plays fine. The problem is, I have no idea what I am selecting because THERE ARE NO TITLES and the Home Screen is black. It’s hit or miss on my other Roku in another room. It either won’t open at all and I get an error message NW-8-20 (or something like that). Or it’s black boxes and not titles just like the above. These are the things I have tried to remedy this: I reset my Netflix password. I updated the Netflix app. I uninstalled and reinstalled the Netflix app. I have unplugged the Roku stick waited a couple minutes and replugged in. I did system restart from menu I went to settings and manually checked for update. Nothing is working - still - it very frustrating. I should also note that our other Roku in another room is also giving an error message when Netflix is clicked. What’s going on? How do I fix this? Why is my Netflix Home Screen going wack? Is this somehow connected to that weird app that appeared? What the heck was the app anyways?3.8KViews0likes11Comments
Roku ultra plays everything in 4k except for Disney
I just got a new roku ultra 4800x and setup with hdcp 2.2 connection at 4k 60hz and it plays ALL other apps such as netflix, amazon prime, vudu and others in 4k except for Disney plus. Best I get with disney is HD I found some articles from 4+ months ago about it not working. Is this something that is being fixed? Roku and disney just point their fingers at each other. This was the only reason I bought the roku was to get disney in 4k as i already had access to the other apps through other devices. Roku support wants me to talk to disney, disney points me back to roku support.
