I just came here to $itch since I see it's been a problem already. I like my apps WHERE I PUT THEM!!!

  • Hi montgomery1,

    Welcome to the Roku Community!

We understand that you are not seeing the channels on your Roku Home screen. We would like to take a closer look into the issue.

Does it happen from all channels? If not, we recommend you try installing the Roku mobile app on your mobile phone, logging in with your Roku account, and connecting it to your Roku device. After that, try to remove the app and reinstall it through the Roku mobile app.

To remove the app please follow the steps below:

    1. Launch the Roku mobile app
    2. Select Devices from the navigation bar
    3. Select the Apps on Roku tab on the Roku mobile app to view a list of apps installed on your Roku device

    4. Tap and hold an app to view more information (tapping quickly will open the remote)
    5. Tap Remove and confirm your decision

Add app using the Roku mobile app:

    1. On the Roku mobile app, browse the categories and genres, search to find a specific app, or go to the Store
    2. Select an app to view more information
    3. Select Add channel and follow the instructions to install the app on your Roku device

If the app does not appear on your Roku device, go to your Roku device and select Settings > System > System update > Check now.

Otherwise, if it happens from all of your apps, restart the system of your Roku device by going through Settings > Select System > Select Power. If you do not see a Power submenu, skip to the next step > Select System restart.

We hope you find this information helpful. Please let us know if the issue persists.

    Cheers,
    Riamie

For those that do not have the auto/manual option, and experiencing the reordering of apps, it is usually a power supply or memory fail issue.

If you have a Roku model that has a USB power supply, you can try replacing both the USB cable and the power adapter (5volt, 1amp cell phone charging adapter should work).  If powering from TV, try using a wall outlet.

It seems though that the Ultra models seem to suffer this more so than the other devices.  For that, you could try replacing the barrel adapter. (100-240 Volts 50/60 Hz)  https://www.roku.com/products/accessories/roku-power-adaptor-ultra

If turns out not to be the power supply, then I believe it to to be a flash memory issue, (and since hardware related) no real resolution other than replacing the device unfortunately. (at least from what I have seen).

  • According to the Roku site, I’ve added Peacock (which I pay for) to my apps. However, I’m unable to find it in the Streaming Store in order to access it.

Still not working. According to Roku.com, peacock is installed. Phone app and device still not showing peacock. Cleared cache, unplugged and plugged in multiple times (as well as tv), searched multiple times with device only showing peacock movie. I’ve been fighting for this since November. Please help

Try deleting unwanted channels from home screen. That's what worked for me. May have to delete app and reinstall afterwards

  • Inadvertently uninstalled the YouTube app. Tried to reinstall it and kept getting an error that it couldn't be installed so I restarted the Roku. Now when I search for it and select it, the only option I have is to open the app. It opens fine, it works fine, but it doesn't appear on the home screen and I don't have the option to uninstall it either.

      4. Remove the YouTube app through the Roku mobile app
      5. Add again

Yeah that didn't fix anything. I can see the channel on the mobile app but it doesn't appear on the home screen even after performing a software update that displays a status claiming the YouTube channel is being installed.
